Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

Nice work again on the blog, Wong. Loved the line combo predictions. Eat that stuff up.

On your No. 5 Bobcat- My lasting Leitch memory, beyond cherry picking leading to slapshot breakaways, was the INCH feature on him which gave a shift by shift breakdown of his...er, efficiency.

When he wanted to though, guy could play.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

sadly not Jordan Zitoun
JZ was robbed!!!

Seriously, no question who the best Bobcat is (to date anyway). Congrats Reid!

And a big tip of the cap to our beloved wonger. Great job on the entire list and thanks for taking the the time to do it. While I'm sure you'll be one great teacher of our youth, I still think you missed your calling. Keep up the good work.

Oh, in case anyone needs a reminder... only 10 days to go! ;)

Luke -- that was really fun to reflect on. Great job with it, buddy!

One week to go! It may only be an exhibition but we'll finally get to see the boys on the ice in 7 days!

*Shameless Plug*

Not sure if any of you guys remember me, but I used to be a pretty committed poster here a couple years back when I was a Freshman at QU. I think I might have warned when I started posting that I am not great at keeping up with posting, but I have always continued reading. Some of you guys here have been doing a great job keeping interest up for QU Hockey.

Anywho, I am now the Co-Director of the Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network, which is the student-run broadcasting network of all QU athletics on campus, and thought that I would plug some of the stuff we are doing here. Recently, our own Brian Farrell (Larson240), along with another member wrote a detailed preseason ECAC preview. If you guys would like to check it out, head over to our blog here: http://www.theqbsn.com/. We also recently put up a feature article on Reid Cashman coming back as an assistant coach, as well as a season preview for the women's team. We'll be updating our blog with articles throughout the entire season, so feel free to stop by after you visit Wonger's outstanding blog :D

You can also follow us on twitter @QBSN. Thanks guys, I'll try to be a little more active this season, as it should be a pretty exciting one!

Haha thanks for the additional plug Mschvatz! Yeah, check these guys out. Brian Farrell is keeping my blog up to date with the women's team and also adding his piece for the men. These guys are ****n good and put together detailed, educated and valid articles and features. Through our combined efforts I believe Quinnipiac Athletics will benefit exponentially.

Thanks for the kind words Wonger. We have gotten a good influx of dedicated members the last couple of years who do an outstanding job. One of our main goals this year is to become a more prominent QU Athletics news source, in addition to all of our broadcasting. With your blog and our blog running, I doubt Bobcats fans will have trouble learning more about the team they love

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

More great stuff Wong. Though if your projections are right we'll smash last year's cumulative point totals by over 50pts!

Don't worry, as you're presumably a QU grad I won't hold you to any math related predictions.

I understand the totals are high but also realize that last year's totals were remarkably for any team not just the Q. I am standing behind the projections and realize they are jus a ball park estimate based on previous body of work, experience, new talent and expectations.
