Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

I hope they planned better than Providence. I heard over half of the people couldn't get into the restaurant for the pre-game.

I was at the Brown game but didn't make it in time for the pregame event. I know it was a disaster though. They capped the Boston one recently for the pregame event but not the game. I think it could be a disaster as well. I don't know the size of the place this is taking place at.

I don't think it's big

Good thing that there are some bigger bars near The Dunk for the regional. Heck, order some suite space, you guys are a lock!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Just would like to set the record straight from an earlier post. I was at the Brown reception at Spats Bar in Providence. The owner closed the bar down for only QU people (outstanding) except for 1 table for his use. It was crowded ( a good thing) but in no way it was a disaster-not sure where you got that from-although the game wasn't the best QU has played
. A lot of alums having a good time. To bad you missed it. If more events were run like this with help from pub owners it would be great !!!

The Bobcats’ 2-1 loss to St. Lawrence on Feb. 15 wasn’t necessarily all bad. Quinnipiac clinched the Cleary Cup that night, and it also gave them the opportunity to unveil new jerseys for Friday’s Heroes Hat game against Yale.

“We were actually going to wear them as early as December,” Bobcats coach Rand Pecknold said of Qunnipiac’s alternate jerseys, which feature a black stripe across the top and a different rendition of the Bobcats logo. “Once we got on the streak Bill [Riga] and Reid [Cashman], my two assistants were like, ‘You cannot break out the new jerseys.’ So we had to hold on to them for almost the whole year.”

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Anyone have any inside info on whether they'll be sporting new road jerseys this weekend? I really like the new look and can't wait to get one (or three) for myself! ;)

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Based on Coach's comment below about holding on the new uniforms during the streak, I think an unbeaten streak on the road still exists.

So as a top seed (or higher seed) in most of our post season games, will QU be considered a home or away team at neutral site games?

Decide to come to Harvard? Sounds like it could be one of QU's most impressive non-Yale road attendance games yet.

Indeed. I believe close to 350 tickets were sold via the presale and that is before there are walkup purchases.

Unfortunately, the Eagle is grounded this weekend. I had planned on doing both games but need to stay close to the nest and get ready for post-season travels. Since I've already been to Harvard several times and finally went to Hanover last reay, I'm ok with missing these games. I will be watching online, you can count on that.

It does sound like it'll be a bigger turnout than Brown. It would be sweet to outnumber the Crimson in their own barn. As for team support, I'm counting on you to pick up the slack in my absense. ;)

I'll take that as a "no", but maybe they're locked up in a closet somewhere? ;)

We'll definitely be the #1 seed if we get to AC. I'm pretty sure the higher seed is considered "home" for the NCAA's as well, so that's another incentive for the team to keep winning. That last change advantage could be huge in the post-season.

Game day in Cambridge. Keep the hammer down and finish the season on a high note rolling into the bye week and playoffs. Sounds like a decent Q crowd will be at Bright (minus a certain eagle... :( ). Go get 'em, boys!

Go Q!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Hoping this afternoon flies by so I can get over to the pregame event at Tommy Doyle's before going to the game tonight.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

I apologize in advance for the inevitable tie or loss that will result from my attendance tonight

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Facebook alumni page said that there will be over 400 Quinnipiac Fans in attendance tonight. That number probably does not include walkup tickets.
