Enjoy the #1 poll rating .... and temper it with the reality that your last four wins have been against teams averaging 30+ on the SOS .... not forecasting any rain on the parade .... but my guess is that the last thing you want to do is (insert word or phrase here) .....

And the "we're a real program than can hang with the (traditional) big boys!" week after week.

Again, congrats on a good season. Celebrate it. But don't puff your chests out and break out the champagne yet.

I could care less what any patronizing, condescending comment any WCHA, HE, Minnesota, BC, UNH, RPI, AIC, or Alabama-Huntsville fan has to say today, it does not matter. "Rankings don't mean anything," "Look at who you guys have played," "EZAC," "Pssh, let little old QU have the cute little ranking." DOES NOT MATTER. This is a historic day for Quinnipiac Athletics, and anyone who does not recognize that need not post here. Sure, we all know the ultimate goal is to win a national championship, but for a program like QU, right now this is pretty sweet. Plus, as fans, we can all enjoy this. We do not need to concentrate on a national championship or even conference championship for that matter, we get to enjoy this. Let the players and coaches focus on that, for tonight, WE CELEBRATE.

First-ever No. 1 ranking for Quinnipiac in any sport.

A tremendous accomplishment for the University's athletics department. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Now, there's just one thing left to do: Win the whole thing!

How? Yale has a decent PWR but that's about it. That means waiting until NCAA time, which is a long time to hold on. Best of luck and hope to see you in March.

Congrats Q! Well deserved ranking!

The best thing about being ranked #1 is all the other fans complaining that you don't deserve it. The ironic part is that unless their team is undefeated they already had their chance to get their ranking. Then they turn to saying it doesn't matter over and over and over and over and over. Guess what, when you spend as much effort in telling someone that something doesn't matter as some have...it matters. Wait until you play them and win. Then it will be the refs, puck bounces, bad night, etc. :)

EVERY program takes pride in the #1 ranking and this is especially big for Quinnipiac being the first in any sport. Enjoy it.

Congrats! Don't listen to anyone who says it isn't a big deal. Sure there are other big deals out there, like conference titles or NCAA championships. But this is a big deal too. Believe me, I wish my team was #1 right now, because if it was, we wouldn't be waiting for our bubble to pop. Enjoy.
