Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '10-'11
How sweep it is!
A wonderful weekend by the Bobcats. Excellent goaltending by both Clarke last night and Hartzell tonight. While neither was really tested hard, they did what they had to and got great help out in front. Two games, two shutouts, two solid netminders. Rand has to be confident he can go with either one the rest of the way.
Everyone skated hard tonight. It was a much more physical game than yesterday's but never got too goonish. Lots of gritty play at both ends of the ice. Zach Hansen became a scoring machine, Langer showed what he's really made of, the D was terrific, and the role players stood tall. Possibly the two best games they've played all year, certainly the best back-to-back efforts.
We'll need to wait until tomorrow to see where we head next weekend. If SLU and Colgate lose we'll end up just a short ride down Whitney Ave. If one of them wins, it's off to Hanover, NH, and if both win their series, Ithaca here we come.
This weekend sweep should really give the boys a confidence boost and I think we can play with anyone in the league right now. We'll see where the chips fall in about 24 hours.
Nice job guys!
