"Now, you listen to me, jerk-off, if you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem. Quit being a part of the ****ing problem and put the other guy back on!"

-end quote ;)

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

The big problem is the recruits come here with the promise of a chance to improve and compete in a top shelf league, then are let down by poor coaching and blame placement everywhere except where it belongs.....next year this coach intends on putting his own child thru this misery and that is totally unfair no matter what the outcome.....it will be either Daddy's great player or the other players don't listen, a lose - lose situation....Army should call in some NHL favors from either Toronto or NJ and use it as a reason for leaving and let his kid and others breath easy and enjoy their college hockey days

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

I'm a current PC student and I'm fed up and upset with how the program is being run. A majority (probably 98%) of the players are absolutely miserable with the program and coach. They're not happy and it obviously translates into their gameplay. I felt like crying after the 5-0 loss to Merrimack last friday. It was one of the worst games I have ever seen. The fact that the athletic dept won't do anything to fix this situation is extremely frustrating. Something must be done. I didn't think we could get any worse than last year, but now i'm not sure...

can't wait :) :)
i've been lurking around here for a while and i've always wondered who he is at games...if he even goes to them.

Welcome aboard PC13 and thanks for sharing. While it's disheartening to see the next generation feeling the same pain as the rest of us -- I'm not at all surprised by this report. There is a disconnect here between the coach and the players, it's similar to what we've seen before in years past. Clearly this is not a happy place to be right about now.

One thing is for certain -- that reunion of Army, Rooney and Velichick is going to be pretty uncomfortable. Definitely nothing like old times, sadly...

BTW I agree, the only way Army leaves is on his own motivation and perhaps he'll see the situation here is unsalvageable at this point in time. There were rumors last summer he was leaving for some pro gig somewhere, hopefully he'll actually act on them this time.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

and your predictions and excitement for 100 didnt happen

now you can sit around all summer and pray for a bunch of kids to lose.

Amazing that you would sacrafice 20 kids and not pull for them in their only chance ever tp play D 1 hockey so a team could lose 100

have a great summer and I hope you were not holding your breath.

Where did anyone on the board Scarifice the PLayers. Clip it and Post it . You have nothing to back that up.

It's about the coach, the faster he get to 100 the faster we get a new coach. Until such time this program is not going to turn around.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Loss number 100 could be at home with a couple of ties or a win and a tie so it is attainable at home this year.......good job Driscoll and Army, I can't wait for the interview after that monumental achievement, who will we blame, is Tyler available

and the braying continues

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Pretty likely? You are WAY too pessimistic my friend. ;)

It's NOT a question of if but rather a question of when. With sixteen games to go I say that the "Race to 100" is well underway and the record happens before the final two weeks of the season.

It WILL be celebrated with signs, noise makers and fanfare. I'd like to have the section E'ers host the festivities but I'm willing to do so in lower M. I'd just like to be closer to Timmy when we celebrate his accomplishment!!!! :p :p :p

I will start the publicly counting down once we get to 90 losses during his tenure. That should be sometime after next week. :o :(

fools galore

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

A bus trip may be in order as I think the "Race to 100" will end vs. UML.

I just hope that The Hockey Guy will be there to share in this milestone. Without his extension of Timmy's contract, none of this would have been possible. Timmy would be up in Toronto or Washington or Anaheim head coaching, no doubt, some lucky NHL team to the Cup. :p

YAWN

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Great stats Freds -- like some of us (cough) said back in OCTOBER and NOVEMBER, you don't throw a party for winning games at the start of the season over teams who you have no idea how good they are or not.

I think it's time someone updated the thread topic with the RACE TO 100 as it has now been coined by 91. I will take credit for mining that nugget of trivia, but the title is all his! lol. :p

bigger yawn

These area few of the posts hoping the players win, not even close to pulling against them. Piling on and trying to make them look like a side show

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Haha! Seriously, who knew we'd be on the verge of one of the all-time amazing accomplishments in the history of PC hockey.

Freds is the one who needs to update the OP. I vote in favor of THE RACE TO 100 IS ON! Or, ARMY'S MARCH TO 100 LOSSES! :p :p :p :p

Bray on

Congrats on learning how to quote, but you still haven't cut and pasted anything where they were talking about the players. It's truly amazing how dense you really are.

Seeing that the players are the ones on the ice and wearing the jerseys, you are in fact sacraficing tehm so you can get a new coach.

Spin it how you want.

and what drugs are you on? The team is the players and giggling and posting about parades and celebrations to get to 100 losses so you can get a new coach is exactly that.

talk about dense, look in the mirror

Hey, if 6 people get run over on a certain intersection, the state will install a traffic light. You and 3 pals stand on the side walk and root and hope they get run over so you can get it. "we are just hoping to get a new light, we dont want them to get run over

dense=you times 45
