Re: POTUS Elect Trump II: We Are So Totally F%*#ed

In Brent's defense....that's what he said

No defense as it pertains to the following:

I think this is incorrect. I hoped Palin would be the answer.

Sorry that's far too much rope for her. Hoping for even 1 second she would be the answer means she was given serious consideration.

Hillary? All the lulz, I do not want her near any official capacity.

Saying she's completely qualified yet also, "I do not want her near any official capacity"? With Trump the alternative?

Completely indefensible.

Palin was pretty unknown before running for VP. It's entirely possible to have had hope for her before she opened her mouth.

It is possible to not want someone to be President, but admit they're qualified. I don't think Brent has ever made the claim that Trump was even close to as qualified as Clinton.

Re: POTUS Elect Trump II: We Are So Totally F%*#ed

I didn't want Hillary to be POTUS before it all started either. Once it came down to her or Donald?

Anyway I like and respect Brent regardless. This is not personal - just a difference of opinion. :)

Keep Savannah and Charleston, French Quarter of NOLA, maybe St. Augustine, and burn everything else. Sherman would agree. :D

Keep the Quarter without all those dumb-*** midwestern, hurricane-drinking, conventioneering tourists.

Charleston has the best snooty food in the South; Savannah has the best affordable snooty food in the South, along with a "hipster NOLA" vibe; New Orleans has the best overall food and culture in the South.

Texas brisket and Kentucky bourbon are worth saving. Let's keep Austin, and Louisville + a few counties. ;)

I'll reserve judgement on the rest for now.

NOLA is sadly lacking in high quality golf courses.

This. I'd never heard of her and when she was announced my first two reactions were, "a woman... that's smart," and "a hot woman... we could be in trouble." Then the frenzied roof rats that live in her head tunneled out to us through her face hole and that was that.

Exactly.

Then Palin started to talk, and I thought, "Crap. Well, that's that."

Edit: and as far as charisma goes, you can have uber-charisma and be a great leader, you can ALSO have uber-charisma and be the worst leader on the planet. Palin had charisma, she was just clueless.

Clueless would be an apt description. Although she never got a chance to show it as Governor.

I didn't think Palin had charisma. She had a bit of personality, but charisma? No, not seeing it. I personally think McCain really didn't want to be president so he picked a running mate that would assure he wouldn't be. There had to have been other strong female candidates he could've chose and that's who he picked?

I can see and understand that viewpoint.

Let's just put in this way. 2016 proves that a white woman will probably never be POTUS, since the stats say that the majority of white, female voters voted for the ***** grabber. It could happen, but FFS just look at the victorious competition - this election was that demographics' best shot, and they betrayed their champion.

True enough about women and Hillary, something that doesn't make sense but this is why I'd like to see Elizabeth Warren as the nominee next time. Not only do I feel she's qualified and can bridge the divide in the party and activate lazy a ss liberals to vote, but I also think a lot of women voters are about to have buyers remorse when Trump and his buddies in the GOP Congress are done a regulatin' da ladyparts.
