Wasn't her fault She just put up the list and assumed (being a benign country goose) people would fill it with stuff like "late purchase orders." She's the woman who says "looks like someone has a case of the Mondays." Totally harmless.

It's the as-sholes in the office who decided to make it political.

People overrate FDR's role. The New Deal programs gave people hope, but it was WWII that really ended up pulling the country out of the dark economic times of the 30s.

FDR knew that, and that's why he let Pearl Harbor happen. ;) (just getting it in before Flag mentions it)

So I normally don't like Rachel Maddow but I haven't been watching the news today and wanted to see what the lead was tonight.

So far, it's been the 27 most frightening minutes of television I've seen in over 15 years.

Yes and no. I think most people would agree about WWII, but the work organizations started that churn.

Look at this timeline:

The WPA alone provided something like 3 million jobs. It's the trickle up that kickstarts an economy. An injection of cash to the lowest income Americans means that money gets put immediately back into the economy and turns over many times.

WWII finished off the Great Depression and led to a significant acceleration of the recovery. But he defibrillation started when the work programs started.

You would have too...**** hippy walking around talking about how great he was and how he knew better than the rest. Imagine having to spend every waking minute with Rover that was life walking around Judea with Jesus ;)

And it might not have needed WWII if Roosevelt hadn't cut spending in the late 30's, slowing the growth rate of the recovering economy, and triggering another recession. Not sure why he cut stimulus spending, whether it was political pressure, fear of inflation and deficits, or what.

It was ideology. Ironically, FDR was not a Keynsian, and he didn't like the early New Deal measures. He tried to ditch as soon as the economy began to come back, and when he did he cratered the economy, exactly as Keynes predicted. Something to keep in mind when austerity is preached. Just as it has been throughout most of Europe, it's often a killing frost.

I can't believe we haven't discussed O'Reilly actually calling for apartheid-esque taking back of the country. Explicitly. Not veiled under MAGA or any other pretense.

He actually used the term white establishment.

I half jokingly suggested my group at work do Hanukkah for our Christmas decorating contest. I'm somewhat disappointed we didn't actually do it because I'm sure someone would have been furious for no reason.

Probably because he didn't get all his stuff through, so he used the Federal Reserve to manipulate things. Interesting how, once they come into play, there are drastic market booms and busts. And if you follow their actions, there is a correlation.

OK, seriously, I'm starting to get tired of this whole "petition" Infowars is putting together to get Trump to get Facebook to stop Chinese style net censorship. Whether or not the EU told them to do it, whether or not the prisoner-to-be talked about it, they're still private establishments. They have a right to refuse service to anyone. If they said no, and then the governments decided to take further action, then sure, you'd have a legitimate beef. Yes, they've been having DDoS attacks, and they get the appropriate parties involved that will help them out, which they are doing. This isn't like the prisoner-to-be not doing her job as Secretary of State to get the ban on Michael Savage from entering the UK lifted, as she was instructed in e-mails by non-government globalists to not pursue it.

How about instead promoting Gab and other sites that, at least for the time being, pledge to not censor based on political views?

Saw a poll on Morning Joe that among Trump voters Putin is more favorable than Barack Obama by a wide margin.
