POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

Re: POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

A survey of 50 boarding houses came up with the rumor of the day:

Joe Lieberman for SecState

Ugh. For anybody interested in what we know about what actually happened in the Michael Brown case here is the 86-page DOJ report PDF.

rufus might note that the half dozen or so credible eye witnesses there are all state specifically that Brown either "charged" or "ran" toward Wilson. Wilson backpeddled and states Brown was within 15 feet when he fired.

This isn't in the report but I do know myself that you can't reliably count on being able to shoot someone who is within 21 feet of you. They can close the distance too fast.

The whole thing is a terribly sad story, including the 15 or so witnesses who just out right made stuff up that they couldn't have seen or was impossible given the forensic evidence. Not to mention the extensive aftermath.

Re: POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

The balls on them to report a real news story...

Again, the story was horrific on its own.

Why the need to stage (<-- polite word for lie) that the reporter was at the crime scene?
Is the reporter paid "hazardous duty pay" if they stand by crime scene tape?

Re: POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

There is no need for it and if true it is wrong. Still not in the same UNIVERSE as what Breitbart is doing and you know it.

Here lets play a game:

1) I want to watch the hockey game tonight but my gf wants to go see friends. I lie play sick so I can sit home and watch the game.

2) I dont like my best friends gf so I make up stories about her, tell her she is cheating with his other buddy and he goes and beats the dude up.

Are these the same and if not, which one is worse and why?

We've critiqued an ABC story.
Roll out a Breitbart one (of your choosing) and let's look at that.

I want the techniques exposed so we all know what to look for (or how we're being played).*

*Back in HS I had an English teacher that spend a quarter on nothing but "propaganda". We studied methods and techniques. It was one of the best quarters from HS because I remember it and still find what I learned useful. This isn't the same, but it's pretty close to the syllabus from that quarter.

meh... maybe that's not as clear as it seems. A relativist might argue the first one isn't wrong. (or I suppose even the second if they're really committed) Someone else might say arguing about the degree to which they're wrong just clouds the issue that they're both wrong to begin with. And of course, others would give the answer you expect, which is that the first is minor and the second is terrible.

Edit: Just for fun, suppose instead of going out with friends your gf changes her mind and decides to get chicken soup for you. She enters the bodega, interrupts a robbery in progress, and is shot. Which one is worse now?

Not sure why these finger pointers still get the light of day. They're desperate for ratings, so they start brandishing anyone else as "fake" despite putting out fake stories themselves, and even try to get corporates and governments to censor anyone that isn't them. I was playing through Starcraft II Wings of Liberty the other day, and it reminds me of the same thing.

And now with votes in European countries to denounce globalism, we see the animals scrambling.

Re: POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

Is it dumb that they fake the location? Yes. Does it make the story any less real? No. Just don't tell me that The Daily Show correspondents weren't ever actually on location...

If you want to play the comparison game, let's go with reporting a real crime from a fake location (use the one in flag's link) vs. reporting a made up crime (let's use Hillary's child sex slaves) at a real location. Which one is worse?

The Daily Show (and its viewership) forgot they're on a network called "Comedy Central".
When you remember that you take everything there with a grain of salt and react accordingly.

The 2nd one. Would I feel guilty...sure. Did I do anything to put her in harms way...no. That is a nice philosophical exercise but nothing more. (how very intellectually elitist of you ;) )

There is malice behind the 2nd one, I am doing what I am doing for the outcome that is happening. There is intent there...

Again...what is the point of accusing the Clinton's of sex trafficking (citing Wikileaks Emails) but to inflame those that hate her? Why are advisers to key people in the Trump campaign forwarding these lies? What would you be saying if it was Hillary's campaign re-tweeting BS about the GOP that lead to violent attacks? That doesnt make what ABC did right (and they should be punished for what they did) but they arent the same...

I get it, you want to play the game that all lies are equal and that degree doesnt matter. that is fine in a vacuum but in the light of day where actions have consequences that is complete and total malarkey.

So basically, you've got nothing? Thought so...

The hypothetical game is so much fun. Imagine not playing it. ;)

How about news tells the fact, just the facts. No hype; no bluster; no false reporting; no matter the source.

I've never met a Daily Show viewer who doesn't understand that it's a comedy network. I don't know anybody who works on the show but I'm pretty sure they don't forget who signs their paychecks.

You sound like you're just burnt because they make fun of Trump and his Trumplings. Maybe if they weren't targets so worthy of ridicule...

Re: POTUS Elect Trump I: Get in pu$$y - we're gonna make American great again

I rather enjoy all the shots at Trump. He's earned them with his baffoonery.
However, the only Comedy Central show I watch is South Park. I have no idea what the others have said or done.

What I don't enjoy is "reporting" of made-up events, be they pizzarias or beatings.
