- While a police officer was there,
- 4 or 5 of my buddies were watching, with one taking notes,

YES!!

I noticed this with trump back in like 17/18. He was the same person as a boss at a previous company. Mannerisms, buzzwords ("Here's the thing" *shudder*), unhinged rants, psychopathy, and honest to god, the caps and the appalling capitalization. It just stuck out so clearly.

Joe's my guy now. I'm tethering my line to him. Think of what his administration has done despite being viewed as centrist.

Ended the wars. Drone strikes have gone to virtually zero. He's fought for debt relief. Gun laws were passed. He's gotten the most impactful climate bill in the history of the planet through (to the point that Europe is pizzed because it's made them uncompetitive in a number of strategic areas). The list goes on. And this was done in 3/4 of a term with a third of that a split Congress.

I wouldn't be shocked if his rap sheet was still clean. Like many of his ilk, he was just a keyboard warrior who wasn't gonna lead an armed rebellion. I have little doubt the guy has his stockpile of guns and ammo, but it'll all be for the standoff/media circus if and when the ATF agents ever rap on his door with a lawful order to seize his firearms.

This is one reason I do not worry about a Rawandan genocide here. The Right are cowards above all else. Bullies always fold when their bluff is called.

These are losers. They are without any aptitude to survive in the new world, so they wail. Leave them behind, this has happened to losers for millenia.

Agreed. I was a guy who never wanted Joe as President after Obama and now I see how absolutely right for the job he was. He isn't perfect (who is) but he not only understands the game he knows how to win it no matter what the other team is doing. Part of why he looks so good is who preceded him but the guys has shown that if you just stay out of the drama and do the common sense stuff the country works. He also has surrounded himself with a pretty solid group (some better than others) and that helps as well.

Joe is a true "Big Tent" politician. Is it sometimes annoying, sure. Is it the right strategy for the time we live in...absolutely. You can't make the best decision if you don't hear from all parties. (including your enemy) Joe lets them say what they want when the cameras are around but doesn't throw a temper tantrum about it and still keeps them in the game, despite it seeming stupid to do so by all of us.

Joe is the type of coach you hire after your team bottomed out and needs to get back to respectability. He won't lead you to the title most likely but he will get you back on path and leave you in a better place than when he started.

In a Calvin and Hobbes strip, Calvin says "if government could be 75% competent, we'd be outstanding!" Joe is that B/B+ president. He's not flashy, he's not going to take home valedictorian, but he's someone you want in your class.
