POTUS 46.10: A New Hope

Correct, the investigation was created by Rod Rosenstein (R) and run by Robert Mueller (R).

But some people think pointing out that the Steele Dossier, a completely separate thing, was at one point funded by the Clinton campaign, after being started by the Gateway Pundit (R), somehow negates those points.

And if they have ACTUAL evidence, bring it. The Court of Law is ready for your evidence.

Given their worship canceled his tell all news conference, there isn’t any evidence.

I think that's a big difference too.

I'm on Biden's side on this, but if there is actual evidence that he was part of some corruption, I'm off the team. I want lawbreakers punished, even if "my guy" is said lawbreaker.

If Biden is guilty of something I want him punished. The bedrock of democracy is to attack corruption immediately. I don't care if it's your guy or my guy, if they cheat they are attacking democracy and that's worse than anything either party can come up (unless of course a party is itself attacking democracy, like the Nazis now, but even then it's still a tie).

No, allowing politicians to be held responsible for crimes turns us into a banana republic, or so I hear.

Is this the level of proof needed in your world? I think Dave Chappelle is singing your tune.

Because the video link was FUNNY and a little longer, I will add the text related to Level of Proof Chappelle (substitute Kepler, MichVandal, etc at your leisure) needs to see.
___________
Question: Is there any evidence that R Kelly peed on a girl?

Prosecutor:
So beside the tape and the girl corroborating the story and allegations, what more would it take to make you believe he is guilty?

Witness:
- If I saw a tape of R Kelly peeing on a girl,
- why he was singing P1!ss On Me,
- The girl was holding two forms of government issued ID,
- While a police officer was there,
- 4 or 5 of my buddies were watching, with one taking notes,
- And his Grandmother has to be there to confirm his identity - "That’s my Robert, always peeing on people"

Prosecutor:
Mr Dem, isn't that excessive?

Witness: The burden of proof is on the state. That piss was digital.
_________

Sound about right? Or do you need more "evidence".

None of these people are “my guy”. I vote for the policy I want running the country. If they are breaking the law, courts and prison are for them, but that does not invalidate the policy that I want running the country. It’s easy to find an alternative to push policy.

That’s where the right, and especially magas fail is they think people and personality are policy. And we are left without real policy nor direction. Let alone a group of cult of personality types that get worshiped so can get away with anything they want.

That’s so funny now, as looking back in time, plenty of politicians have gone to jail. Including a decorated war vet. But even then, people are dumb- my district in Idaho tried to re-elect a rep who was sentenced to prison back 40ish years ago.

And the greatest projection/gaslighting exercise of all ... R's = Nazis. Hilarious AND incredibly bogus, but no surprise given the venue (Faculty Lounge) and wanting to get that WW2 stank off your (Left) side, but here we go ...

Democrats And The Hitler Lie

https://townhall.com/columnists/derekhunter/2023/08/27/column-n2627582?

Hitler was a fascist, obviously, and a totalitarian. Somewhere along the line, these characteristics have become ascribed to the political right, or as they love to say nowadays, “The extreme right.” But it’s not true, not even close. There is no such thing as a “right-wing strongman.” Simply put, every single dictator is of the left. Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro, Mussolini, Marcos, Chavez, Kim, Amin, and everyone else you can think of are people of the political left, plain and simple.

Progressive is the left, conservative is the right, OK? Progressives want a bigger government that does more, and with a bigger government doing more individual liberty necessarily shrinks. Conservatives want smaller government, limited by the Constitution, and more individual liberty. It stands to reason that the further you go down the progressive direction, the bigger and stronger the government gets, just the opposite for the conservative side.

The natural end of the road for progressives is absolute power, a totalitarian regime imposing its will on the people, whether they like it or not. It’s a disaster, always, and the average person suffers greatly, but they suffer equally. It’s equity on display. Of course, that suffering never makes it to the top – as Soviet citizens starved, Stalin and his pals were fat. While North Koreans ate dirt, every leader in the Kim family was obese. It holds for almost all of them.

Now, the logical end for the conservative side of the horizon is anarchy. The further you go down the right, the smaller the government becomes and the more personal liberty there is. The end of that is no government at all, the opposite of the left.

But to hear the Democrat/MSNBC brain trust tell it, as you work your way down the right side, as government power shrinks, there is a magical point at which it somehow spikes back up to be all-powerful, and that’s where Hitler and every other of these monsters somehow lived. It doesn’t make any sense, but they also know people have been conditioned by a horrible left-wing public education system not to understand politics or history and to believe what they hear from “journalists” on TV, so it sticks. It only sticks with stupid people, but there are enough of them to fuel a movement.

Pretty logical assessment, but I'm sure you folks in Bubble-Land will bleat and protest that this really very simple, linear analysis is somehow wrong. Just because. Enjoy the rest of the day, brownshirts ...

Who are the ones banning books? Wanting to exile, at the least, LGBTQ people? Would they do more to them if they could? Who want to prevent certain topics and history from being taught to our youth? Tell people who they can and can't marry? Decide what they can do in the privacy of their own homes? Especially the bedroom.

Sure, conservatives may believe what you say. Problem is, today's crop of Republicans aren't conservatives. They are fascist authoritarians. Want to use the power of the state to enable and then solidify their rule. You need look no further than the things they attempted to do to keep Trump in office after the last election.

Nothing "conservative" about that. Funny thing is, you, and folks like Drew know this. But it doesn't stop you from coming here peddling your shit.

I agree. I know I was the one that said "my guy" regarding Biden, but I agree with you. I have no guy. I vote for the least worst as much as possible. Right now, it's Joe Biden by a million light years.

I've never had a guy for any office I've voted for, in the sense that I would privilege the office holder over the responsibility of the office.

This is one of the distinctions between how the Left and Right regard public office. The Left sees a job to be done with fungible candidates to be used and/or discarded. The Right sees spoils to be distributed, so the identity of the distributor is extremely important because they want their goodies.

I remember during the ACA time, Rs tried to claim it was a bad law because all Ds were not on board with the original wording. So we got a few months of debate and construction that ended up as the ACA. Was there any serious debate with dumpies tax cuts, as I recall a bunch of people in lock goose step for it.

I know a lot of you have Chuck blocked, but I am fascinated by how his brain works. You missed out on another dissertation where he proves without a doubt that the sky is green and the grass is blue by referencing an article where the author dived straight into a couple of false dichotomies with a dose of post hoc ergo propter hoc thrown in without even giving the reader the courtesy of a reach around. And the casual racism/bigotry that's thrown in for good measure (he even highlighted it but it went right over his head)? Priceless, Chuck. The rest of the group may have you blocked, but I'm entertained by what you think is a GOTCHA! argument.

I had him unblocked for a while, but the sheer stupidity got me worried about radiation sickness.

I really tried for a while. But it was so repetitive, it hardly seems interesting. Especially when he has admitted to outright trolling as opposed to changing minds. I’ve been ignoring whalers for so long I forgot he was even here. But it’s the same thing.

Neither have any idea how the system works- they go after opinions instead of hard facts that matter in a court of law. Much like their worships efforts overturning the election in courts- no actual evidence is less than worthless when making accusations.

Who are the ones banning books? I see leftists censoring conservative thought on social media every day, and literally everywhere until Musk bought Twitter - Wanting to exile, at the least, LGBTQ people? If you mean preventing biological males from competing in women's sports, yeah - Would they do more to them if they could? Otherwise, live and let live - Who want to prevent certain topics and history from being taught to our youth? As opposed to brainwashing kids against their parents' will? Tell people who they can and can't marry? Again, live and let live - Decide what they can do in the privacy of their own homes? You mean, "my body, my choice", and no experimental vaccine mandates? Especially the bedroom. Again, live and let live.

Now, for you ... kids have to reach majority (usually 18 years old) before they are legally deemed competent to make important life-altering decisions. Leftists apparently feel that should be waived when it comes to irreversible gender-assignment surgery. Conservatives question the Left's motives for being in such an apparent rush to push kids into these relatively new, untested, and potentially catastrophic procedures. So, in a few words ... what's the big hurry??

The funny thing here is, with all of the events of the past decade or so making this crystal-clear (unless you're a dummy in denial), the Left is firmly in charge of the Deep State a/k/a Perma-DC. No one elected these people. Conservatives and the Right have finally woken up since the Deep State is no longer in hiding - it's in our face every day, and the prosection (you say)/persecution (I say) of the last President speaks to that in volume. Conservatives aren't pushing for DC statehood. Conservatives (as opposed to Perma-DC RINO's) don't want an open border, both of which shows definitively that the Left ... "wants to use the power of the state to enable and then solidify their rule". Correct?

Nothing "conservative" about that. Funny thing is, you, and folks like Drew know this. But it doesn't stop you from coming here peddling your ****.

rufus, here's the difference between someone like me, and most of the folks on here, like you. Messaging through the MSM, social media and academia is systemically tilted in favor of the Left. As a result, folks like you can exist quite comfortably without ever being challenged on your thoughts and beliefs, and as a result, you folks tend to get fat & happy with the party (Party?) line. Folks like me have to wade through wave after wave of stuff that assaults simple common sense - y'know, what is a man, and what is a woman, just to cite one obvious example - and for many folks, they just persevere and keep their heads down, say nothing, but know they are being sold a load of BS. Some of us get tired of tolerating the stupidity, because it just keeps getting incrementally worse/more stupid, and we aren't afraid to call BS on some, most or all of it.

The Left has pushed too far, and uses Saul Alinsky's playbook to advance its radical agenda. The "equity" vs. "equality" argument - as in equity of outcome vs. equality of opportunity - gives the game away. Listen and learn ...
