Well, now he can scream to his rubes that the $500m he was going to fund his campaign with got tied up by the courts, and it's all the Deep State's plan, and it's just SO UNFAIR. Please donate more!1!!1!

While that is true, it is already being hypothesized that this will get meme'd into a windfall for him WallStreetBets style. It won't take much.

Its going to fun to watch him have to brag on one hand how much money he is worth while on the other try and convince a judge who is not a fan of his and an AG he basically threatens and demeans, that he has no money with which to pay his bond. He already screwed over his attorneys by saying he had $500 million on hand that was supposed to be used for campaigning after they under oath told a judge he didn't have the money.
 
Wouldn't it have been nice if people would have had the courage on January 21st, 2021 to do what should have been done with trump? Listened to the New Yorker Radio hour on NPR earlier and a staff writer there, Adam Gopnik, correctly pointed out that had Abraham Lincoln been the one inaugurated on January 20, 2021, trump would have been in jail on January 21st.

The host noted the his guest, writing about the elections in Germany in the 1930s that led to Hitler and the worst conflagration the world has ever experienced, said that after World War 2 since what did happen under Hitler was the worst thing that has ever happened, any alternative would have been more desirable. Even a war in the streets or a civil confrontation leading to a military coup, while horrific, would have been less so.

I think we need to see if a majority of Americans are ready to defend and preserve their democracy once and for all. I'm tired of kicking the can down the road. Any means necessary.
 
You mean the same Lincoln that in 1863 pardoned any Confederate who quit the war? The same Lincoln that would have likely done the same thing after it ended to help Reconstruction? The Lincoln that would have allowed slavery to continue to preserve the Union had the attack on Fort Sumter not happened and the South seceeded?

Gopnik either failed American History or he is a full on idiot.

Was just going to say. The biggest mistake in American history was not hanging Lee. (Obviously not Lincoln who did that.)

Washington, OTOH, probably would have had very little time for pieces of shit like Lee and Trump.
