So basically, it was a fishing expedition that hauled in no real keepers; quelle surprise.

Yep. The best they got was that Fanni might have lied about the dates the relationship started...but nothing worthy of entertaining her being pulled from the case.

To be fair though that is more than they have on Biden so...yay?!

"Might" is doing a stunning amount of work here.

If she lied - and I won't say she didn't because I have no idea - they've shown precisely zero evidence of it.

Former President Donald Trump allegedly attempted to persuade his own attorney to conceal classified documents. When the attorney declined, Trump reportedly enlisted two of his assistants to hide the documents from the attorney and suppress the CCTV video evidence, as per the most recent filing in Trump’s case involving classified documents in Florida.

...

“When presented with a grand jury subpoena demanding the return of the remaining documents bearing classification markings, Trump attempted to enlist his own attorney in the corrupt endeavor, suggesting that he falsely tell the FBI and grand jury that Trump did not have any documents, and suggesting that his attorney hide or destroy documents rather than produce them to the government,” the document states.

After the attorney refused to cooperate, Trump then tried to deceive him, the prosecutors added.

“Failing in his effort to corrupt the attorney, Trump enlisted his trusted body man, codefendant Waltine Nauta, in a scheme to deceive the attorney by moving boxes to conceal his [Trump’s] continued possession of classified documents. As a result, Trump, through his attorney, again returned only a portion of the classified documents in his possession while falsely claiming that his production was complete,” the document states.

“Without Presidential Immunity, a President will not be able to properly function, or make decisions, in the best interest of the United States of America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Presidents will always be concerned, and even paralyzed, by the prospect of wrongful prosecution and retaliation, after they leave office. This could actually lead to extortion and blackmail of a President. The other side would say, ‘If you don’t do something, just the way we want it, we are going to go after you when you leave office, or perhaps even sooner.’ A President has to be free to determine what is right for our Country with no undue pressure,” he continued.

That is, of course, despite the fact that the United States has had 46 presidents in its 248-year history. Of those, Trump is the only one to face criminal charges—some of which relate to insurrection.

EL-OH-EL The circus in Florida on the the classified materials trial continues. Judge Cannon now says two amicus briefs filed by the Trump team will be "helpful" in her decision to dismiss.

The biggest "helpful" piece? A filing by Trump's team that the appointment of Jack Smith was illegal.

He's immune anyway. If he shot and killed me in my own home no one would bother to prosecute. The fact that all these liberals keep banging their head against the wall trying to prosecute this guy is beyond me. Waste of time.

LONDON (AP) — Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been ordered to pay a six-figure legal bill to a company founded by a former British spy that he unsuccessfully sued for making what his lawyer called “shocking and scandalous” false claims that harmed his reputation.

A London judge, who threw out the case against Orbis Business Intelligence last month saying it was “bound to fail,” ordered Trump to pay legal fees of 300,000 pounds ($382,000), according to court documents released Thursday.

Orbis was founded by Christopher Steele, who once ran the Russia desk for Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6.

The British court case was one of few in which Trump, who is almost sure to win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, was not a defendant as he faces massive legal problems back home.

Apparently trump was mouthing off about E Jean Carroll AGAIN this morning. At some point his kids are going to shoot him right? That's their inheritance.

Well, he posted the 90+ million dollar bond. That's something. Although someone loaned him the money, which was the problem in the other NY case. So, he hasn't really suffered yet. I doubt he ever pays a legitimate dime, or spends a day in jail. He's immune.

At some point, vlad is going to see dumpy is costing him more money than his war in Ukraine is. If she is getting money, someone is paying it. And at some point, they are going to get tired of continuously paying because of the moron. Heck, it's interesting to see that r's are being really worried that they are going to start paying the legal bills because he's the nominee. They are going to have no money left to pretend to air ads.
