Re: POTUS 45.63: This Thread Gets Better Ratings Than The Super Bowl

Now do Bush/Cheney (Iraq 2), plus Nixon and LBJ (Vietnam). Are we gonna add up how many Iraqi and Vietnamese civilians, and American soliders died in those unnecessary wars?

We don't execute former leaders. That is what banana republics, Stalinist satellites, and third world African countries do.

Particularly given there is enough treason and financial crime for Dump to spend the rest of his life justly behind bars.

No, because of how society regards Muslims vs Christians and how each group seems to be reacting to this crisis differently.

That's what Melanie said.

”Trump’s electoral future is on the line, so he’s obviously focused on that challenge,” according to Dan Eberhart, a Republican donor who’s popped up often in recent weeks to give quotes about Trump’s coronavirus response.

Like, there's nothing else going on at the moment that he ought to be focused on.

And that's America since 1980.

Betteridge's Rule.

We learn. I'm sure Trump is tightening restrictions as we speak to ensure that it never happens again.

Of course his supporters want to know about the wall, it's the next best thing for them after the annual birthday celebrations for today were cancelled.

Re: POTUS 45.63: This Thread Gets Better Ratings Than The Super Bowl

“Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease. Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed – in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical – and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental. In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.” German Theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Letters and Papers from Prison. 1942. Nailed it.
