Re: POTUS 45:54: My Polls Are Better Than Your Polls

It's funny. In the work world my boss is the exact opposite of lazy and stupid, but he lives inside the Fox bubble so to this day he says all that really mattered in 2016 is we didn't elect Hillary. He completely believes all the Russian bot stuff about her.

As for Dem voters, you can't blame the customer when a product doesn't sell. If your candidate didn't win you did something wrong.

If what they chose not to buy would actually help them and their choice hurt them you sure as hell can. They knew what they were doing they didnt care that their being selfish hurt everyone. At least GOPers dont pretend they care about anyone but themselves. Lazy Democrats (and other Lefties) who decided to vote their conscious are worse than Trumpers because they actually have brains and chose to screw everyone over.

If you have 10 bucks to spend and you choose to buy KFC over something healthy because you think it tastes better it isnt KFC's fault (or the health food company's) it is your own. 5 seconds of using your brain would tell you which is better for you.

Re: POTUS 45:54: My Polls Are Better Than Your Polls

Truth. A lot of people got paid a whole lot of money just to ensure that people would turn out and vote for Hillary. That was their only job.

To blame the voter because they sucked at their job is the cheapest form of scapegoating.

So you cant blame the voter who chooses not to vote? That is some twisted logic.

It isnt like Bernie didnt have a chance to win...he friggin lost every important battle. The country should be screwed over because the majority of Democrats chose not to vote for him?

It is like trix and his whining about Biden...well plenty of people can stop Biden but if you choose to just sit on your hands and whine and dont do anything about it (and then stay home because you lost and you are a snowflake crybaby) then you deserve Trump and everything he does to you.

July 17, mueller testifies in public

I think that Barr shutting down those investigations might have finally made him realize his silence is destroying the work he did. Lets hope he actually answers all the questions.

That will be the test of where he actually stands.

Someone just heard about mueller testimony

What is sadly funny, is that he could just repeat this tweet every day if he actually read a newspaper or turned on any channel except for FOX.....

What we say or write on a hockey forum -- even I, who have The Answers -- has no effect on the electorate, but the mindset that the voter owes the party a vote betrays the bureaucratic entitlement that it's up to the citizen to follow the process and get through the rat maze. That's not realistic. You have to convince a customer to buy a product. "In Soviet Russia, product buys YOU!" is out of touch with how politics works.

This is where the bad guys have an inherent advantage over us. The soul of conservatism is commerce: production but also lying and inequality. The right breaths Always Be Closing. They reach down to the most gullible, while passing the profits upwards to the few. That is wonderful electioneering but terrible governance.

The soul of liberalism is science: critical thinking but also disruption without apparent regard for those affected. The left breaths Always Be Factual. We reach up to the most intelligent, while passing the benefits downwards to the many. That is wonderful governance but terrible electioneering.

He already failed the test. All he will do in testimony is read from his own report. He failed us. Time for everyone to get over it and move on.

Scoob, this is just emotional nonsense. You can see the guy is trying to do the right thing. He didn't "fail us." He probably conducted a thorough investigation and he's probably going to be as vocal in hearings as he feels he should be.

He's trying to be a good citizen. Would that all (any?) other Republicans did the same.

No. He failed.

Let Em Starve. They're not Americans anyway.

The Trump administration has not yet given Puerto Rico $600 million in food stamp aid more than two weeks after the president signed the emergency funding into law, according to federal and territory officials.

Puerto Rico does not expect to be able to spend the emergency food stamp funding until September, most likely, six months after food stamp cuts began for the more than 1 million island residents who rely on the program, said Glorimar Andújar Matos, executive director of the Departamento de la Familia, the Puerto Rico government agency that administers the program.

While the reason for it was not immediately clear, the unexpected delay to Puerto Rico’s food stamp aid reflects the ongoing dysfunction in securing the release of federal funding for the U.S. territory that is still struggling to recover from Hurricane Maria in fall 2017.

Emergency food stamp money for Puerto Rico ran out in March, starting widespread reductions in benefits, and funding renewal was delayed by several months amid an impasse among federal lawmakers and opposition to additional funding for Puerto Rico from the Trump administration.

Puerto Rican officials said they have unsuccessfully sought clarity from the Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service for how to swiftly secure the food stamp funding.

Kevin Concannon, who served as undersecretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services during the Obama administration, said there is no reason for officials not to be able to approve the aid much more quickly.

“It’s normally rapidly approved, because you’re trying to mitigate the impact of hunger and food insecurity,” he said. “This should be straightforward. It should not take this long. The existing program in Puerto Rico has been there for decades, and the infrastructure is used months in and months out.”

Then that further proves Mueller isnt the hero some of you make him out to be.

We will see, just because he is testifying doesnt mean he will say anything. I hope he does but he dithered for two weeks after Barr lied about his conclusions so it isnt like he has shown he has a spine when it comes to all this. He is so afraid of not being seen as impartial he has basically stacked the deck the other way.

My guess is that Mueller quickly realized he wasn't going to be able to do what Scooby and everyone else on the left was expecting him to do. First, because of Justice Department rules, he was never going to be able to go after Trump with charges. Second, with a divided Congress there was never going to be a Clinton style impeachment.

He probably resigned himself to the job of putting away the underlings who were stupid enough to do Trump's bidding and called it a day.

Yeah, it's my fault for thinking the President isn't above the law. I was stupid to think so and I'll never be that stupid again.

They dont owe the Party a vote...they can choose to stay home if they want to that is their right. But they dont get to pretend they have a conscious and principal and whine about how bad things are if they choose not to participate. Even worse, if they know their choice to not participate will lead to exactly what we have now. (and they did)

It doesnt matter if you are right if you lose. You can get on your high horse and talk about the greatness of liberalism but its greatness is lost when even its own people cant be bothered to fight for it.

This isnt a Political Philosophy Class...choices have consequences. 50 years from now (assuming the world hasnt burned up) people are going to wonder why it is the Liberals had all the right answers yet made all the wrong choices. Things like what you just posted will be frowned upon by future trix's because they make zero logical sense.

Morally yes you are 100% correct and I applaud those very things but we live in an amoral world where people take advantage of any and all weakness and Liberals need to act accordingly. In this competition there is no silver medal for second place. If your enemy is willing to kill you you need to be willing to do the same or you have lost before the game starts.

So no, no one owes the Democratic Party anything. They do owe the citizens of this country (the ones they say they care about) better than they give when they stay home and let the likes of Dubya or Trump win...to deny that is to ignore what this country and our elections is all about. And yes that includes me...I was completely wrong when I did it.

What the people owe the country is to inundate the Democratic party, sweep the Pelosis and Schumers from power, build a staunchly egalitarian platform. Then inundate the polls, sweep the GOP from power, and enact that platform.

It's not rocket science. We did it once before in 1932. Democracy gives us the power to claw back every inch of ground and every cent the rich stole from this country since 1980, in one jump.

I don't expect the current Democratic party to fight for the many. Like any political party it's a machine designed to benefit the people who run it and pay for it, and the people who run it and pay for it are friends with Chuck Todd and Joe Biden. They don't want systemic change. Everyone they care about, family members and friends, has a nice house in Alexandria and sends their young children to private school and their older children to the Ivies, who then get jobs in finance or media or politics perpetuating the same system for their children. And these are good people. Chelsea Clinton is a good person. But as much as she wants social change it's not an emergency for her. She's not going to give her house to the homeless.

I'm not going to give my house to the homeless.

The people who would need to take this party from us. In a sane world, I would be a conservative, fighting to keep balance and prevent the chaos of changes happening too quickly. My highly educated, well-scrubbed, white as-s should not be on the left, and any country where I am on the far left is one that has gone so far right it can barely even stay on the road.
