I don't just want Left candidates for Left policy (though that's certainly part of it). I want Left candidates because they bring more people out to the polls. Our ideas are electoral winners. We simply have to have confidence. The way we are kept from having good policy in this country is not primarily by being beaten at the polls but by self-limiting out of fear. That is one of the ways the system works to protect its beneficiaries.

Which I agree with. I want a candidate that says what they are thinking, what they believe and how they will get there. Honestly right now there are only two I really like and a bunch of also rans. Thankfully we have time to see if more can show they have the courage of their convictions.

Lets not pretend the Left isnt out there demonizing the Center either. There are plenty of trix's out there rolling their eyes at the middle. The Dems cant win without BOTH the Left and the Middle.

The Middle shouldnt set the agenda but they shouldnt be shunned either and their policies, while maybe not perfect do have merit.

That is how I would do it...but it would lose because people will find any reason to make the stupid decision when presented it.

No. Don't demonize the farmers, who are just the victims of Trump's con. After all, as the folks in flyover country on this board constantly remind us, we can't talk down to or disparage those folks, no matter how apparent it is that they'll never vote Democrat.

But what you can mention is how can you be against "The Socialism" in one breath, and then turn around and give farmers $30 billion of it? And then go on to present why "The Socialism" isn't a big scary thing to be afraid of, and in fact, many of the programs we already have here in this country, as with the farmer bailout, that are demonized as "The Socialism", are there to protect those most harmed by the effects of poorly theorized or implemented economic policy, such as trickle down, health care, tax cuts for the wealthy, and Trump's disastrous tariffs. Why some aspects of "The Socialism" are necessary, and even needed, in today's socio-economic reality where the big dogs eat the little ones and that's just the way things are.
