Mueller probably wants to say something, but he's covering his arse and letting others take the hit. He is being the Switzerland of all Switzerland.

A letter objecting to the AG's summary is a pretty big deal. Writing it and putting it on record makes it official. He knows how to get it out there without explicitly doing it.

Sorry but I just don't agree. He was spineless and if he cared as much as you say he did he would have made the letter public right away. Or better yet he could have just held a pc and said "yeah he is wrong". He had plenty of time to do so.

He let the narrative be wrong, he let his words be used incorrectly to shield a lie and he had done nothing to change the narrative he knows is a lie. He and Rod Rosenstein can fade away and never be heard from again as far as I am concerned.

And no, it isn't cause of his conclusions. It's all about his actions.

Agree. From what I've read, he's old school. His job isn't to make political decisions or opinions. His job is to do what his superiors task him, investigate, and report. And everything has to go through the proper channels.

You’d think the leader of a country with the most influence in the Western Hemisphere may be focused on Venezuela, instead he’s spent the morning being scared on Twitter, retweeting like 15 tweets from a comment chain by some radio host about Biden and firefighters, quoting random Fox News hosts, and suddenly announcing that the USS Truman won’t be decommissioned.

One of the advantages of the parliamentary system is Prime Minister's Questions. For example today's rispote between Mr. Corbyn (Labour) and Mrs. May (PM -Conservative)

Mr Corbyn says social mobility is "going backwards".

"Things are getting worse under this government," he says.

"Life expectancy in Britain is falling for the first time since 1945.

"Where does the prime minister think this government has gone wrong?"

Mrs May replies: "It is not the case that people are expected to live shorter lives than they had done in the past.

"What we have been doing is ensuring we are providing for people at every stage of their lives."

I don't think turning Mueller into a bad guy here is either right or wise. He's managed to stay above the fray and do his investigation without any leaks which is just about unprecedented. We need 1) the full report, not the one selectively edited by Chump's toady, and 2) Mueller to testify openly before the House Judiciary Committee. Then we can start drawing better conclusions.
