POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

That's quite a leap you've made.

"I think she should have used different words."
"I am going to cause physical violence against her, possibly kill her."

Yeah, those are in the same ballpark. To quote Jules, it ain't even the same *in' sport.

Nice deflection from what I am actually arguing here. You said basically the following, "Some criticisms of her are valid, but she shouldn't receive death threats". The, "some criticisms" bs at the beginning is unnecessary and completely irrelevant to whether or not she deserved death threats. By including them in your original statement (and insisting on defending them still now) your criticisms of the death threats become less sincere. You can keep arguing otherwise but you're going to be wrong.

Stop pulling this crap of arguing what is not being said and commonly providing supposedly centrist opinions with qualifiers.

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

It *is* relevant, though. She deserves criticism, and some folks have taken that way too far, in the form of death threats. The people threatening her took a ride on the crazy train, using those threats as their way of criticizing her.

For what exactly? Someone taking her statement completely out of context to present it in the most uncharitable way possible (and basically proving the point she made in that exact speech)?

Keep in mind she helps run the 9/11 victim compensation fund.

She should have phrased it differently, within the context of what she was saying overall. The phrasing she used made it sound like it was just some minor thing that happened. Sort of like, "Well, you know, Japan did something to Hawaii, and the US reacted." It's a bit bigger than that, you know?

THAT BEING SAID, the critics who are focusing on JUST that phrase, and using it for their Islamophobia, that's just plain wrong, in my eyes.

Edit: to put it another way, it is not what she said, it's how she said it.

And here is the problem. The Rube, who claims to be a centrist, simply believes the Republican spin on every issue. AOC is useless, harsh and strident, and isn't doping anything but making waves. Because that's what the Republicans are saying about her.

And viewing any issue from the Republican viewpoint is all this centrist does.

And yet, you are taking what those critics are saying, and repeating it here as your own viewpoint. If its plain wrong, then why do you let it shape your perception of the issue?

I have never said that. That is you putting words into my mouth, then twisting them for your pleasure. I actually like AOC overall, despite differences in views.

Keep trying, though. For now, I think I'll sort you under Camp Scooby.

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

The thing you can't conceive is she's not asking you.

I don't care if she's asking me or not. I don't care if she's asking Joe Schmoe down the street. What needs to be realized is that potential voters/supporters of hers are hearing the words, and she could lose support. She actually SHOULD be asking.

Your opinion has been noted.

You say it with every dam thing you post on here. Oh, you go out of your way to say, "Oh, I'm a centrist, and I hate what they're all doing", but every single stance you have on issues or policy or what have you comes as it's framed by Republicans. Every single one.

"Ohhhhhhh, we can't have a Green New Deal, it's too expensive. Too radical. Start small, and work your way up to it".

"ohhhhhh, we can't have gun control. It won't work. It'll cost too much. Start with something small and see what happens".

Every single issue is just like these.

Re: gun control:
You mean like the Democratic supported red flag laws, which I support? Or the Democratic supported universal background checks, which I support? Keep trying.

It *is* relevant, though. She deserves criticism...

Even if she does it is irrelevant to her also receiving death threats. Your statement should have said nothing more than:

"She doesn't deserve death threats for her opinions"

End of story. But you can't leave it at that and as such your supposed coming to her defense feels dirty and insincere.

Yrp. "She doesn't deserve death threats for her opinions, but I can understand why she's getting them".

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

He has tweeted about our strong Economy a dozen times in last month. This. Is madness.
Oh wait, he just wants to get re-elected and doesn’t care about long term
