Kansas Man Takes Trump Policy Literally...
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...ign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20170224

A Kansas man is charged with murder in a shooting that left one man dead and two others wounded. Two of the victims are originally from India; their assailant was reportedly heard yelling "get out of my country" just before opening fire.

The incident occurred at Austins Bar & Grill in Olathe, Kan., where two of the victims, Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Alok Madasani, work for Garmin, which has its U.S. headquarters in the town. Police say Adam Purinton, 51, shot the two men as well as another bar patron who intervened on their behalf.

Kuchibhotla, 32, died after being taken to a hospital; Madasani, 32, is recovering from the attack, as is the other victim, Ian Grillot, 24.

Wow. That's a big deal. And eerily similar to Watergate. Attempt to solicit conspiracy to mislead, at the very least.

No doubt our eagle-eyed Congress will get right on that.

Or more like stop focusing on the fake news and start focusing on real stuff. We already know Trump didn't get contributions from Russia; that has to be reported.

Guarantee he thought they were Eh-rabs.

This terrible mistake could have been avoided if Muslims were required to wear some sort of insignia. Perhaps a green crescent moon.

How are they not being "protected" if not allowed to "cross over" to another restroom designation? I'll be honest I couldn't care less about this issue and even though I believe a law that would allow a s/he to use an alt room causes no harm, I also don't feel that bad for someone that is not allowed said access. I think this is one of those cases where it's not discrimination and not something anyone should worry about. If no one should be afraid of someone using the other bathroom, those wanting to use the other should similarly not be afraid to use the one they're traditionally assigned.

It wouldnt be a problem if certain people on both sides didnt make it one. The Right tends to use the old "what about the children" BS and imply the the Trans will use this to assault people and dance around naked or something which is just insulting.

And i think you should watch it with the "traditionally assigned" type language. that implies any of us have the right to tell someone what they are which we dont.

Why anyone cares what bathroom people use is beyond me.

(I am not attacking you just using your post to say my piece)

Meanwhile, in Ukraine...

A Ukrainian lawmaker who met with President Donald Trump's top lawyer Michael Cohen during the transition is now the subject of a treason investigation, according to several reports.

Prosecutors accused Andrii Artemenko, a member of Ukraine's parliament, of conspiring with Russia to commit “subversive acts against Ukraine," according to a Tuesday report by the New York Times. They accused Artemenko of pushing a proposed deal that could “legitimize the temporary occupation” of the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed by force in 2014.

Per the report, Artemenko met with Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen and Trump associate Felix Sater, a convicted felon and government informant, to discuss the plan in January.

Cohen agreed to personally deliver to the White House a sealed envelope containing the peace plan, the New York Times reported on Sunday.

"God bless the Discovery Phase." Who knows what goodies will come out of that?

Hmm. Cracks begin to form.

During a town hall in Florida on Thursday freshman Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) called for President Donald Trump to release his tax returns following a question from an attendee.

This poor sap is going to get a visit from the GOP "Get right with the Lawd" police. He'll recant in a few days.

How to create a police state. Step one.

Arizona has added to the growing list of state laws that attempt to squash First Amendment rights, according to the Arizona Capitol Times. On Wednesday, the Arizona Senate voted 17-13 to send SB 1142 to the House, a bill that expands the state’s racketeering laws beyond organized crime to include rioting. Rioting was also expanded, to refer to any damage to property. The bill gives the government the right to criminally prosecute and seize the assets of anybody at a protest where, for example, a window gets smashed.

You'd think a hotel guy might have thought of this.

Travel Weekly magazine (as close to an “official” travel publication as they come) has set the decline in foreign tourism at 6.8%. And the fall-off is not limited to Muslim travelers, but also extends to all incoming foreign tourists. Apparently, an attack on one group of tourists is regarded as an assault on all.

As far as travel by distinct religious groups, flight passengers from the seven Muslim-majority nations named by Trump were down by 80% in the last week of January and first week of February, according to Forward Keys, a well-known firm of travel statisticians. On the web, flight searches for trips heading to the U.S. out of all international locations was recently down by 17%.

A drop of that magnitude, if continued, would reduce the value of foreign travel within the U.S. by billions of dollars. And the number of jobs supported by foreign tourists and their expenditures in the United States—and thus lost—would easily exceed hundreds of thousands of workers in hotels, restaurants, transportation, stores, tour operations, travel agencies, and the like.
