Re: POTUS 45.5 - Sweden is Under Attack

Where's proof?

Also, I will not accept an Infowars.com link OR an Alex Jones YouTube video.

I have higher standards than the "fake media," I require two independent sources of the story (of which, I assume one of the above two have already commented on it).

Or does it need to be part of your echo chamber that's losing its monopoly?

Re: POTUS 45.5 - Sweden is Under Attack

I have lived in Sweden for many years and still visit and work there from time-to-time. The country is very close to having both a social and economic bubble bursting. I believe there are 55 "no-go zones" in all of Sweden(most in the southern parts). This means ambulances when going into these areas have police escorts and police tend to stay out of the area due to fake emergencies and there cars being lit on fire.

Oh and...

“The problem is that the segment had a lot of incorrect information in (Trump's sources),” Pernilla Stalhammar, the foreign policy spokeswoman for the Green Party said. “There aren’t any no-go zones in Sweden and the number of crimes against individuals is at about the same level as it was.”

While at 4x the murder rate of Sweden, I believe the US has just a few no go zones.

So I'm not the only one that feels like we're being played.

You absolutely are. But its by those you believe it to be.

Oh, and one other thing, aparch: Why is Infowars unacceptable? Especially considering what they do is call out the bull**** that other people say.

And out of curiosity... if Malmö isn't so dangerous and doesn't have a murder index of 3.4 according to Speisa, why would electricity company Högs EL no longer service there?

Re: POTUS 45.5 - Sweden is Under Attack

I think the angle being overlooked here is that Trump assumes everyone else knows the segment he was talking about because like him I guess we all have Fox News "Segments To Scare Old White People" on all day. I think it was the one after the piece on bath salts and before the expose on the knockout game.

Re: POTUS 45.5 - Sweden is Under Attack

Armstrong and Getty had a pretty shtick going this morning:

They were disappointed that there weren't news stories about Melania Trump plagiarizing another speech.
She didn't cite Matthew 6:9-13 or Luke 11:2-4. :D

Some details on what they legally classify as "rape" in Sweden vs. the U.S. for instance and how more likely a victim in Sweden is willing to go through the process of accusing their attacker than women in the U.S. and elsewhere.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/07/11/are-migrants-really-raping-swedish-women.html

The perpetrators are then named as "a gang of seven to eight boys belonging to the group of unaccompanied children," referring to the young male refugees who have arrived in the country without a parent or guardian.

However, the statement was quickly removed from the site after police admitted that of the seven men arrested, only two were young men who resided in the type of home for troubled youth that often houses young refugees without parents.

The incident arrives on the heels of another sexual assault scandal back in January, when police came under fire for withholding information regarding nearly four-dozen complaints in 2014 and 2015 during a popular Stockholm music festival. In that instance, officials were accused of failing to publicly release crucial details surrounding the assaults, namely that the majority of those behind the attacks were believed to be young Afghan refugees. However, Reuters reported that the police documents the news agency reviewed did not, in fact, mention the perpetrators' ethnicity.

Indeed, according to official statistics on file with The Swedish Crime Survey, the sexual violence rate in Sweden has remained about the same between 2005 and 2014. In fact, it actually decreased by .3 percent between 2013 and 2014. That said, the country has the highest rate of rape in Europe, a statistic that has been partially attributed to both Swedish law, wherein rape is given a wider definition than in other countries, as well as a higher tendency among women to report the crimes to the police.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/swedens-rape-crisis-isnt-what-it-seems/article30019623/

Sweden does indeed have far more reported cases of sexual assault than any other country. But it’s not because Swedes – of any colour – are very criminal. It’s because they’re very feminist. In 2005, Sweden’s Social Democratic government introduced a new sex-crime law with the world’s most expansive definition of rape.

Imagine, for example, if your boss rubbed against you in an unwanted way at work once a week for a year. In Canada, this would potentially be a case of sexual assault. Under Germany’s more limited laws, it would be zero cases. In Sweden, it would be tallied as 52 separate cases of rape. If you engaged in a half-dozen sex acts with your spouse, then later you felt you had not given consent, in Sweden that would be classified as six cases of rape.

The marked increase in rape cases during the 2000s is almost entirely a reflection of Sweden’s deep public interest in sexual equality and the rights of women, not of attacks by newcomers.

Why the difference? Because people who go to Sweden are poorer, and crime rates are mostly a product not of ethnicity but of class. In a 2013 analysis of 63,000 Swedish residents, Prof. Sarnecki and his colleagues found that 75 per cent of the difference in foreign-born crime is accounted for by income and neighbourhood, both indicators of poverty. Among the Swedish-born children of immigrants, the crime rate falls in half (and is almost entirely concentrated in lesser property crimes) and is 100-per-cent attributable to class – they are no more likely to commit crimes, including rape, than ethnic Swedes of the same family income.

What also stands out is that almost all the victims of these crimes – especially sex crimes – are also foreign-born. But for a handful of headline-grabbing atrocities, it isn’t a case of swarthy men preying on white women, but of Sweden’s system turning refugees into victims of crime.
