I agree with all of this. It shouldn't be a big deal and I wouldn't be bothered if the requested access granted. I wasn't trying to tell anyone how to identify I chose my wording poorly.

On the topic of transgender, and because I don't know what other thread to post this in:

Transgender boy wins first round of Texas girls tournament

He wants to compete with boys, but Texas says you must compete under your birth certificate gender.

Compare this to the NCAA Policy where a person transitioning from female to male may play on a women's team until they begin taking testerone, and vice versa a male to female must have undergone hormone treatment for one year before competing in the female ranks.

Daryl Issa on Maher just said he is going to have an investigation over Russia including having a special prosecutor :shock:

He also said the way to fix health care might be to look at what is driving lower costs around the world including Canada and Sweden :shock:

Capt. Flip Flop? He has not support and no backing anymore so it won't happen. Yes, look at Canada and Sweden. The US never has any original good ideas for anything anymore.

Probably just as well. Without power it's all moot anyway. And as they say, if you can't take their money, drink their whiskey, screw their women and still vote against them then you don't belong in Washington.

I wanted Perez, despite Ellison being Bernie's guy. Perez is one of the the smartest people in politics, and the optics are much better.

*sigh* Welp, Perez is going to have his hands full trying unite a lot of PO'd people. Could've taken one chance to really push things to the liberal side and they balked.

Getting ready for the hockey game, I've been listening to Ellison trying to wrangle his supporters back. He's a really impressive leader.

I don't see it that way and I'm about as far left as anybody in the Democratic party. Perez is a great administrator. Ellison is a Young Man In A Hurry who wouldn't have been willing or able to commit the time needed to do a good job.

This was a win for liberals in the long run. We need power to accomplish anything. Ellison would have made people feel good but not been able to do much.

Except now the Berniecrats, who have already felt alienated by the Dems, are now feeling that the Dems don't care about them and are just chasing lobbyists and Wall Street again.

Or tl;dr committing the same mistakes that gave us President Trump.
