I saw this somewhere else: someone was jeering at Maher trying to save face by claiming credit for Milo's downfall the day after being widely condemned for snuggling up to him - when in fact Evan McMullin put in all the oppo research behind the scenes into getting Milo exposed (you don't want to **** off a CIA agent). In any case, I'm not going to blame Maher for changing his tune, he's moving in the right direction whatever the reason.

Give me a break. Bill Maher "stopped" Milo the same way Indiana Jones protected the Ark of the Covenant from the Nazis.
Milo isn't speaking at CPAC or publishing his book because the Right--and many here, I guess--are perfectly fine with targeted abuse at women and the transgendered, but abusing male children is a bridge too far, even for them.
Give me a break. Bill Maher "stopped" Milo the same way Indiana Jones protected the Ark of the Covenant from the Nazis.

Milo's gig is to roll into town and get you to victimize him. If you just let him say his stoopid piece and then tear him apart on content, he loses.
The Whole Point is Milo has no power other than what we liberals gave him. The way to defeat judo is to just step aside.

Hey, I agree, it's shameful those things didn't do it. But, giving him just enough rope ended him. Getting him exposed to more people so things that people really were going to have a problem with came to light.
Hell, there are a bunch of Republicans in Congress and in the Cabinet right now who deserve to be investigated. It's going to take a lot of Sunlight before that happens.

Both sides of the aisle have emotion-driven, not particularly bright people who can't do anything with an idea except agree or disagree with it at an id level. Maher does God's work exposing those on the left. Unfortunately there is no equivalent on the right who will pull his own people's tails, likely because of the right's humor deficit.
But when lefties start displaying "the hate-pinched faces of church-going women," that's when you pull out the big guns of mockery and satire and go to town on them, because they are defiling the core of liberalism: letting ideas stand or fall on their own merit regardless of what any authority says.
