Cowards
Headfirst into a brick wall almost seems like a soft landing considering where we’re clearly heading.
I think it seems obvious Tump unilaterally pulled troops out of Syria or did it during a meeting where Mattis told him to not do it. So of course he has to whip out his dick and show Mattis who’s boss.
Mattis obviously said “I don’t need this ****” and walked away. It’s also obvious he feels major pressure from the Mueller investigation. So someone like Miller whispered in his ear and said we need an armed conflict. Wartime presidents are nearly untouchable. At least in the past. And usually during the first phase they get a big bump in approval. So he’s pulling back all troops so he can send them off to dump on some ****hole country.
I have to imagine this would normally be where the 25th amendment would apply. But considering the last two adults in the room are leaving by February, it’s now up to Congress.
And as long as ****wad McTurtleface gets his judges, he doesn’t care if the nation burns. So we’re all in trouble here. We have two more years of the worst thing to ever happen to this country in 150 years.
Republicans
One core belief I have always held is that our strength as a nation is inextricably linked to the strength of our unique and comprehensive system of alliances and partnerships. While the US remains the indispensable nation in the free world, we cannot protect our interests or serve that role effectively without maintaining strong alliances and showing respect to those allies.
We are headed towards a series of grave policy errors which will endanger our nation, damage our alliances & empower our adversaries," tweeted Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) shortly after the news of Mattis' resignation broke [and before doing absolutely nothing about it like a coward for another two yearS].
Someone needs to take away Trump's Amazon Prime account before he gets any ideas from "The Man in the High Castle."
Mattis may be a piece of ****. But I’m not entirely convinced of it.
Beyond that, your entire argument falls apart when you realize the even worse piece of **** that replaces him. That’s the point I’m making.
And I’m also not sure how any of this has been proven wrong so far...
House passed bill with 5B for the wall. Headed to senate

I'm not sure that I would necessarily disagree with that particular move, but it would have to be well-planned and not one of Dump's overnight bowel movements.
Abstractly, I don't even think leaving Syria is a mistake especially because Congress never came for authorization from Obama or Trump. Another issue the legislature abandoned responsibility on.
