I do not get why every talking point by the D's doesn't reference how the GOP is not even willing to support the border wall. They should be shouting about the division in the R party from the mountain tops.

Yup. Frankly, getting US troops out of there makes the possibility of a mistake that kills foreign (read: Russian) forces less likely.

But, if you're not out in the world stopping the bad away from your border you'd better have a pretty solid defense at home.

Also, why is the video of Trump telling Schumer that Trump was going to own the shutdown not being burned into our TV screens?

Trump Fixation Syndrome is the cause: They're missing an easier target (Rs) because they can't look away from Trump.

But even that doesn't explain aparch's accurate assessment: monitors everywhere should burn with Trump saying he'll own it, and not with Chuck and Nancy crying "tantrum". But, this morning alone I've heard the "tantrum" quote from one of them at least four times. Any nary the Trump "own it" quote.

what are the odds that if they do, the media fails to attach the blame for the nuclear option to the Democraps doing it for The Affordable (sic) Health Care Act

until then, it had never been done before, the Democraps only have themselves to blame if they nuclear this time

The one thing makes me think he's not going to is that he'd be doing it over a short term bill through February 8. He gets to fire the gun once, then has to wait for Republicans to take back the House for it to do him any good.

Since the shutdown hasn't actually happened yet, I'd hold off on putting that one out there until it does.

Regarding the nuclear option, I have no doubt Itch McConnell as a senior member of the treasonous money laundering cult would be more than happy to do so but he's going to avoid playing a losing hand unless there's a gun to his head. Goopers need 50 votes to do that. Bob Corker has already hit the exit. That means you need everybody else including Murkowski and Flake. My guess is if Itch had the votes he would have used that as leverage by now.
