If Mexico is going to pay for the wall, do they also get the return on investment?

The economic agreement President Trump said he reached with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Saturday showed signs of unraveling Tuesday, with the White House threatening new penalties against Beijing and multiple officials seeking to downplay expectations for an eventual deal.

Investors, who had applauded the deal on Monday, turned sharply negative Tuesday. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 799 points, or 3.1 percent, to close at 25,027. The Standard and Poor’s 500-stock index fell 3.2 percent, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq gave up 3.8 percent.

Trump, in a series of Twitter posts, threatened to slap a range of import penalties on Chinese products if they did not make major changes in their economic relationship with the United States.

“President Xi and I want this deal to happen, and it probably will,” Trump wrote. “But if not remember, I am a Tariff man. When people or countries come in to raid the great wealth of our Nation, I want them to pay for the privilege of doing so. It will always be the best way to max out our economic power.”

This is a much different characterization of the China talks than just three days ago, when Trump had dinner with China’s president at a meeting of the Group of 20. After the dinner, Trump said they reached the framework of a deal that would come together in 90 days.

“It’s an incredible deal,” Trump told reporters after the dinner. “It goes down, certainly, if it happens, it goes down as one of the largest deals ever made.”

He later said China had committed to buying large amounts of U.S. agricultural products and completely removing all tariffs on U.S. automobiles, a huge shift from its current 40 percent penalty. Chinese officials, meanwhile, did not confirm any of these details. They wouldn’t even acknowledge that there was a 90-day deadline under which they were operating.

He is blowing up his own deal (or he lied and never had one) and Wall Street is freaking out over it.

When JP Morgan says "Trump lies, y'all" it kind of speaks for itself.

Leading rumor? I said right in my FIRST post this season, that I was Fred. And what is your definition of "trolled"? I posted in the forum, just like any other hockey fan. Just because I'm not apart of your elitist club of snobby college hockey only fans doesn't make me a troll.
Cool story bro, here’s a pony gif:

Re: POTUS 45.44: "That's Not Law" said Trump

attention seeking child? lol Dude, I'm just a guy with time on my hands, and lots of opinions. Maybe you are a simpleton or a neanderthal who has no strong opinions and only cares about college hockey, or maybe you are a brainwashed sheep who believes everything CNN tells you? Thing is, I don't care, this is America, and you have a right to be a neanderthal, or a liberal, or a communist or a Conservative or a man or a woman or an it. I don't care. And you have a right to post your opinions on message boards that allow open discussion. And I fought for your right to do that and will in the future if the need arises.

burd will let this go because he's a better man than I outside of his choice in residence and college hockey allegiance, but he'd turn you into a pretzel logically if he cared to.

And no real service member would toss out, "I've defended your right" so childishly and flippantly. gfy

With all due respect.

Re: POTUS 45.44: "That's Not Law" said Trump

Did Russia try to influence our election? Of course they did. As did China and several other countries I am sure. Hey, you do realize that America has actively been trying to influence the elections of dozens of countries over the past could of decades, right? Or are you so naive to believe that America would never do that? Or that America somehow has a right to do it while other countries don't???

What people want when they talk about ending the Russian "collusion" investigation, is for our tax dollars not to be wasted on a witch hunt directed at Trump and Trump alone.

If you are going to investigate sh1t, why not investigate the Clinton's crimes? Oh yeah, you support ALL leftists, no matter how corrupt they are, what was I thinking, sorry.

Witch hunt? Which witch?

Through November 2018, the Special Counsel has publicly initiated criminal proceedings against 33 people—six U.S. nationals, 26 Russian nationals, and one Dutch national—and three Russian organizations. Two additional individuals have been charged as a result of referrals to other FBI offices.

Charges have been filed against Trump campaign members George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, and Michael Cohen. Charges were filed against American Richard Pinedo who assisted the Russians and lawyer Alex van der Zwaan as well as Paul Manafort associate Konstantin Kilimnik. Also indicted were Russian based Internet Research Agency and related organizations and individuals directed by Yevgeny Prigozhin, and a group of Russian hackers referred to as Viktor Netyksho, et al.

Following the guilty plea of Michael Cohen for lying to the Senate Intelligence Committee, ranking member Mark Warner stated the Committee had made multiple criminal referrals of individuals to Mueller and continues to examine witness testimonies for other false statements.[355]

Yeah, nothing to see here. Nothing at all...

Just because we suspect external forces are trying to influence each and every election we've had since 1776 doesn't mean we ignore it when a person directly involved in the latest election-winner's campaign specifically admits to it publicly. That's exactly when you breakout the tools [Special Counsel, etc.] and figure out which people and organizations were knowingly involved. Then we prosecute them when our, the people of this republic, case is strong enough.

Why the hell are you guys talking to this loser? Literally nothing is to be gained and you are just giving him what he wants.

Let him shout at the clouds and ignore him.

Didn't we conclude last year, when he was typing as Fred'sDeadFriend or whatever it was that this is just another incarnation of JDubbs?

Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. And it's good to know what the self-inflating idiots are spewing forth into this world, too.

Re: POTUS 45.44: "That's Not Law" said Trump

Who is suggesting it be ignored? Just saying that any investigations should be bi-partisan and not directed specifically at a party or candidate that the people doing the investigating don't like.

Why do you think it wasn't bipartisan? Just because the list of convictions are all related to Trump's campaign doesn't mean Hillary's wasn't also investigated. (As a matter of fact, she and her people were investigated and cleared on this matter.)

Yeah we already know what they are spewing...you are just giving them someone to spew at. Nothing changes either way so just ignore him like you would your drunk racist grandpa at Thanksgiving Dinner.
