POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

And negotiations always work. I guess it's change who's negotiating for you.

As far as marine engines, most are diesel and although I didn't know new marine regs are on the horizon, I do know more than I ever wanted to about Tier 4 requirements for diesels and it's not a long logical leap.

So they don't work, some times. Big deal.

I still don't see the harm in thinking internationally when coming up with regulations. Please explain that part.

I've explained that it's good for international businesses- since the variations of products are reduced. The marine mention was an example of international rules- and that they can be negotiated and work.

Seems like you are more afraid that someone in the EU is going to take your guns. Which is totally unrealistic- since all of our regulations HAVE to fit within OUR laws before we can go an make them more international. Crap, we complain that jobs are moved to Mexico- and that can be partially fixed by having them adopt OUR labor laws. How is that bad?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

To be fair, calling Melania a hooker isn't slut shaming.

Nobody believes she actually slept with Trump. She's being paid to be his arm candy. The flaccid part of him that she's propping up is his... vanity.
The "Party of women," eh?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Leaks that undermine a would-be dictator? I'm not following what I'm sure is your impeccable logic.

You sound a little like Trump. "The real danger isn't our crimes, it's the people who expose them!"

Please clarify. I am all ears.

Kepler is correct. The leaks are the least of our worries. They are both (from what we know today) are both justified and important.

If congress doesn't want to do their job and investigate these things due to some sort of perverted allegiance to their party over their country, it is the duty of good men and women to leak the information and force their hand.

The "Party of women," eh?

She's an independent businessperson who saw her opportunity and leveraged it. Any derogatory assumptions are in your head. Sex is just another tool; it's the knucks who imagine that sex outside of a husband's control is bad.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

And BTW, I'm not "judging" anything. There are good-looking people, and ugly people in this world. That's a fact.

Nah. Against the backdrop of the historical reduction of women to their T&A, pulling the looks card (either way) on a female public figure actually is textbook sexist. Sic is actually right on this. I mean, odds were he'd get one eventually.

You can call Trump a frumpy aged troll all you want, though. :)

Judging a female on her appearance is wrong.

So is slut shaming.

Guys, seriously, I was paying attention the last eight years. It's all right here in my notes.

It's like the two sides just swapped scripts across the table. Like Greenwald said:

You do realize you're being as intellectually lazy as the people you think you're attacking, right? Constantly saying both sides are bad is a Pee Wee Herman level of thought.

Bring your big boy arguments if you have any. Otherwise, the kiddy table is full enough with Flaggy and fishy.

Wait, women aren't just eye-candy for men to haul around on their arm, to be swapped for a younger model at whim as soon as they begin to age a bit, or get a bit uppity? Who knew?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

The only leaks I have a serious problem with are the ones that undermine military or sec ops. If it takes a leak to expose criminal actions by the government, I am less concerned about severely punishing the whistleblower.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Another thing I never could have foretold: North Korea has a more honest and capable leader than the USA.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Hopefully this is true, though of course there are thousands more like-minded as-sholes where he came from.

Top U.S. Senate Republicans have asked the White House to withdraw Andrew Puzder’s nomination for labor secretary because there are not enough votes to confirm him, CNN reported on Wednesday.

It said a senior Republican source told the network there are four Republican senators who would definitely vote against Puzder’s confirmation. The Republicans control 52 of the chamber’s 100 seats.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Here is the guy The Hill says Trump has asked to replace Flynn. On paper at least he looks like the real deal:

He has served on the National Security Council as the director of strategy and policy for the office of combating terrorism and was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s representative to the National Counterterrorism Center as a member of the senior interagency strategy team, according to his Navy biography.

He holds a master’s degree in international relations and strategic security affairs, served as a federal executive fellow at the Rand Corp. and completed the Center for International Studies’ foreign policy program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,

Gotta be better than Flynn, who was a nutcase.

The other potentially good thing about Harward is that The Hill reports he told Trump he needed a few days to think over whether he wanted the job, which suggests he's going to reflect on whether to get mixed up with that bunch of cretins and criminals. It's the Colin Powell Dilemma: do you sign on for the good you can do and risk becoming compromised by the scumbuckets.

Powell chose poorly.
