Whoa, whoa, whoa.

I advocate doing whatever it takes to get elected, period. The lesson I've learned from the GOP is that once you disconnect your rhetoric and the consequences of your policies in the voters' minds, you can literally say anything to gain power, then do whatever you were going to do anyway.

So, going forward, I advocate speaking with the audience in mind. When talking to academics use reason and statistics. When talking to the middle class use the fear of the GOP destroying all their popular perks. When talking to poor whites remind them of who has really had their backs through the years with unions, ACA, and social security. When talking to poor blacks and Hispanics remind them who the racist as-sholes are.

Don't expect poor whites to respond to a message created for upper middle class feminists. Forget intersectionality: craft the message to the immediate purpose, period.

Sure, but I'm not willing to chase Republican voters just to lose in the end.

Nobody is suggesting that. You are arguing against a straw man.

Hillary didn't lose because she chased Republican votes, she lost because she was as unappealing as a day-old loaded diaper.

We won't have that problem again.

Yes, she did. She spent zero time shoring up her base while she chased Arizona, Georgia, etc.

In itself it wasn't a bad strategy to try to expand the map and force the GOP to bleed off resources playing defense. And all the polls showed her with a good lead in the rust belt states except for OH.

It wasn't the sales force, it was the product.

Apparently Trump will do a new travel ban. If he does it right he'll win in the end cause from what I have seen the Prez has a lot of power in this area.

It was a horrible strategy. We are allowed to use hindsight now. The Orange Buffoon is in office. Time to tell the truth.

I take that back. The one where he complains about a NYT article, written yesterday before his meeting with Xi, saying he hadn't spoken to Xi since November, by saying he spoke with him yesterday (after the ****ing article was written), is my favorite.

False equivalency. If Obama had nominated someone not qualified for the job he would have, but that didn't happen. If you really think the two administrations are equal in this regard you are setting up a false narrative.
