The #1 problem with budgets is WAY too deep of tax cuts.

Lets get everyone back to taxes of the Clinton era- when we had balanced budgets and even surpluses along with an economy that hummed along very well.

You are not going to find nearly enough cuts and waste to really make a difference- that search has been going on for a long time, and you are not going to get any water out of that rock.

When you are fat with money you won't do a thing about waste. See the post about the steps in Toronto. 65000 for steps that could be built to code for 10,000 and that's still a waste

Ok, do it at the same time. But the core problem with the budgets are all of the dumb tax cuts that has resulted with the top of the top tax rates for families who earn around $500k a year- above that, it goes down quite a bit.

The lack of payments made to cities is a HUGE problem, and then college costs have been swapped from a state focus to a student focus- which has done a number on debt. All of that to cut taxes to people who have more than enough money to afford taxes like everyone else.

I vote we just end Social Security. If Grandma and Grandpa can't afford to live by themselves, or are too infirm to continue doing so, they go back to living under the same roof with the rest of the family. Just like you read in Grapes of Wrath. It's what God intended.

Same for Medicare. Kill it all. If you can't afford an individual healthcare plan, or are too infirm to work for one, then God shall be America's sole judge seated on the Death Panel of Heaven.

Just like the good ol' days. :cool:

Sessions has to resign. Assuming there are intercepts that prove this story, then he's perjured himself.

Conspiracy theory from the left is that this was a Kremlin leak that will allow Trump to fire Sessions, and appoint an AG who is 'bez kompromat', who can then turn around and fire Mueller. ;)

Ah, nothing like an authoritarian attack on the media to start the weekend.

This time it's the "Amazon Washington Post" and their "illegal leaks" about Sessions and Russia and it is now the "failing New York Times" fault that Al Baghdadi is alive.

If dump pardons himself, that's basically admitting that it's real news and a real crime.

So I hope he does.

And I hope he pardons his idiot kids, too- which, again, is a full admission of guilt, and real news.

If it was really fake, a pardon would be not required at all.

We have to stop with this "republican" thing- they are not republicans, they are pure capitalists. Money over everything. Money over country, money over human life, money over the environment, money, money, money.

It's funny that so many people want jobs that clearly are harmful to humans and the environment- I see that on a cruise board I post on- they are offended that the international MARIPOL rules dictate clean air, and they want cheap cruises and jobs. So I suggest that that they sacrifice themselves first. Oh, and these are not the 1%ers at all.

It's hard to admit, but pure and unregulated capitalism is no better than pure and unregulated communism when it comes to people. But since you can own something, people pretend that it's better.... Yes, own stuff when your life span is short, the people and environment you lord over is dying off- what a great idea.

LOL. Aren't they practically giving away rooms on a lot of cruises at this point, and then upselling spa treatments, booze, etc.?

A pardon does not eliminate impeachment which is a political act. Please folks, understand the processes.

Both "establishments" hate/dislike tD because he is uncontrollable. The proverbial loose cannon. If they can constrict him, fine, otherwise let him break through the sidewalls and plunge to his death into the deep on his own.

Frankly, this is fun to watch. Everyone is tearing their hair(plugs) out in mass hysteria.

As a sidelight, yes it is John Hawkins, and yes it is Town hall, but he's nailed it/us.

I'm not mixing them up. There are rumors that dump is going to pardon people, and if it was fake news, then that would not be required.

Pardoning them says that 1) the news is real and 2) the information is real, too. Basically giving the entire congress the path to impeach him.

That would be hilarious.

Not that I can tell- our cruises next year are close to sold out. Our next one (in a few months) is totally sold out. And it's far from free.
