POTUS 45.11: Attack! Repeat. Atrack!!!

Re: POTUS 45.11: Attack! Repeat. Atrack!!!

The lawyer is going to do more damage to Trump than the Dems could ever hope to. Comey is playing it pretty straight right now, telling the truth and yet still keeping things close to the vest. Filing suit will change all that...

Re: POTUS 45.11: Attack! Repeat. Atrack!!!

How many times was Trumpy referred to as a liar? And Comey said, he was fired "to change the way the Russian investigation was being conducted". "Why would you...". "Something to me as an investigator..". "Which concerned me and confused me".

There may or may not be anything impeachable revealed, but the fact is the president is at least a lying liar, at worst a gutless, clueless, stupid, incapable embarrassment. Yet how was all of this so quickly dismissed as a, "nothingburger"?

Republicans know how to dismiss things. They're experts at it.

There was a guest on POTUS this morning who was going through Comey's background and his rep (prior to all this crap) as being hyper diligent and careful in the political ramifications of what he does. The guy basically said "that whole open hearing wasn't about anything the Senators were asking. It was Comey leaving breadcrumbs which will now be followed to what the real stories are."

It would be very interesting to rerun the hearing and fisk the entire 3 hours with that in mind. I recall at the time being confused by some of Comey's tangents, and also when it seemed to me there were fairly obvious things he could have responded with but pointedly did not.

I get the feeling Comey was playing chess and the Senators were playing drunken rock fight.

There is no doubt in my mind that is exactly what he was doing. You don't get to be leader of the FBI without knowing where a few bodies are buried.

Re: POTUS 45.11: Attack! Repeat. Atrack!!!

The attorney would not have standing. It would have to be Trump himself and good God...

Didn't listen to the testimony or monitor whether Comey has said anything about Trump's counsel.

If he does sue on Trump's behalf, he better get a whale-sized retainer. Imagine not being able to assume the President of the United States would pay his bill.

Well, it is all over the network news he has stated his intent to file with something. Dude must be an idiot. Discovery would be a party!

Funniest cartoon yesterday- pic of Trup with cone of shame strapped to each arm, little hands deep in the cones and his phone on the table. Apparently he couldn't sustain the silence. "I can stop any time I want to!"

Saw something- not sure how true- that a number of high powered law firms were approached and declined to defend him. Reasoning included the concern they would be paid- not particularly unbelievable as he does have a habit of forgetting to pay folks. (Always amazes me how little of this was covered. He has been in the news since I was in college for skanky business practices. I kept waiting for someone to cover it but they were too busy being distracted by tweets)

I've read all about the Trump Taj Mahal bankruptcy from 1991, and I am convinced that he should be in prison, or at least a pauper, for his shenanigans in getting out from under that $800 million personal guarantee of junk bonds.

We are clearly dealing with a sociopath. And ~40% of Americans love a sociopath in power based on polling.

Re: POTUS 45.11: Attack! Repeat. Atrack!!!

We're dealing with a president who's spinning for the party line in that first tweet, and then spinning to save his own neck in the second twat.

The DSM-5 diagnostic guideline is NPD.

+ has a grandiose sense of self-importance
+ is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
+ believes he or she is “special” and unique
+ requires excessive admiration
+ has a sense of entitlement
+ takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
+ lacks empathy toward the feelings and needs of others
+ shows arrogant or haughty behaviors and attitudes

In all honesty, considering a classical education* is now a vanishing rarity, the disorder should be renamed Trumpistic Personality Disorder. He is the textbook case.

* One day Narcissus was walking in the woods when Echo, an Oread (mountain nymph) saw him, fell deeply in love, and followed him. Narcissus sensed he was being followed and shouted "Who's there?". Echo repeated "Who's there?" She eventually revealed her identity and attempted to embrace him. He stepped away and told her to leave him alone. She was heartbroken and spent the rest of her life in lonely glens until nothing but an echo sound remained of her.

Nemesis (as an aspect of Aphrodite), the goddess of revenge, learned of this story and decided to punish Narcissus. She lured him to a pool where he saw his own reflection. He did not realize it was only an image and fell in love with it. He eventually realized that his love could not be reciprocated and committed suicide.

More from the sociopath in Chief.

Trump overlooked the intraparty squabbles and blamed Democrats. He said Democrats have gone so far to the left in terms of opposing him that “they’re bad right now for the country.” Democrats oppose dismantling Obama’s health law.

The president urged the audience to help send more Republicans to Congress in next year’s midterm elections, noting the GOP has just a 52-48 edge in the Senate and a slim advantage in the House.

“We have to build those numbers up because we’re just not going to get votes” from Democrats, he said. “Sadly, we’re going to have to do it as Republicans because we’re not going to get any Democrat votes and that’s a very, very sad, sad thing.”

Trump ignored the fact that three Democratic senators voted to put Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.

This is the great deal maker? What's different besides NOW the President does nothing but lie? All the time. At least Obama told the truth.

Democrats have moved to the left? Really? So, they're more left now then they were when you started running for office and claimed you could strike great deals with everybody?

And before anyone asks, NO I don't want him to be able to make deals. I'm just still trying to understand why anyone was stupid enough to vote for this idiot.
