Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Evidently you forgot the UN resolution to ban guns.
Wait, the resolution that if passed, requires the majority of the US congress to sign off on the acceptance of? Obama couldn't just bypass Congress and sign some international treaty to ban guns. Not even with his (as you call it) "Title of Nobility" as the chairman of the security board of the UN.

Holy fu** you're denser than a one square meter block of Titanium.

But goddammit I enjoy reading your whacked out posts in the political threads. :D

Apparently, and this is unverified, all climate change and LGBT pages have been deleted from the White House's website.
Techcrunch.com, the Chicago Tribune, and other sources confirm. Also the website as it looked this morning is available at Archive.org. Clearly shows climate change was removed. Also, the hyperlink that was being used to direct to the climate change webpage no longer works.

Also, the White House page on policy regarding energy now states:
For too long, we’ve been held back by burdensome regulations on our energy industry. President Trump is committed to eliminating harmful and unnecessary policies such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule. Lifting these restrictions will greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years.

Drill, baby, drill!! Who gives a sh** about sacred Indian burial land. Let's git to buildin' a pipeline!!

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Also, Holy fu** is Franklin Graham, being interviewed on NBC, as dense as Trump's supporters. He's proud how the "sons and daughters of coal miners" came out to vote for Trump, because that's all these people know, and without those jobs, they can't live like they have for decades.

Well no SH**!! Coal mining is going the way of buggy and whip makers. Times change. Industries change.

They actually signed to ratify. But to confirm, it required 2/3 the Senate, which they did not get, even with the majority they had at the time.

Even as times change, the basic materials are still required.

Not at the same rate though. There were almost 100 active iron mines in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the early 1900's. After mining the "easy to access" ore, iron mines slowly closed in the 50's, until less than a dozen remained. There is still plenty of iron ore in the ground, but because of the cost to mine and prepare it, it's cheaper to just leave it in the ground for now.

Coal is the same way. There are plenty of abundant veins of coal, but we're starting to reach the point where cost outweighs the benefits of coal. There are cheaper alternatives (natural gas, solar, nuclear) that are being used more than coal.

Are coals mines needed? Do we need coal miners? Absolutely. I'm not saying lets shutter the industry. I'm just saying that these people need to know that just like the iron mining industry in the great lakes region, small farmers in the Midwest, buggy and whip makers in the northeast, be prepared to adapt your industry to new needs.

Maybe instead of stumping for additional coal, maybe these rust belt regions should have been stumping to be the newest manufacturer for Tesla's gigabit battery factory.

If you can prove to me he played golf the DAY HE TOOK OFFICE, I will apologize.

Considering it is winter in DC, most of the courses are closed or on reduced hours. I was able to play 9 yesterday at the local muni. I parred the last hole. Don't ask me about the others. :)

If he's smart, he installs one of those simulator thingys somewhere in the WH basement. Then he can play whack a ball anytime.

Does UPenn get their program back under Trump? Would that be "winning bigly". :)

D-III is expanding bigly next year with 4 new programs and another in 18-19.

As to Penn. That would give the Ivy Group 7 teams and create an imbalance in the Force. They have to be paired with Columbia.
