Can you divulge what the fewest posts necessary to qualify this year was? I am just curious as to how close hokydad is.

Except those who did not post in 2014 are not eligible. So some past #100 were on the ballot. Rather than trying to figure out myself where the cutoff is, I decided to ask.

Admin accounts (e.g. Board, USCHO Newsbot) are also ineligible. You can use the Advanced Search on the member list to find it: http://board.uscho.com/memberlist.p...0:00:00&lastpostbefore=&sort=posts&order=DESC

I don't have the spreadsheet in front of me, but the cutoff this year was about 9,000 posts. Naturally, it will be higher next year; I'm thinking possibly the five figures.

Round 3 is over. To the ten that did not get the most votes in their respective bracket, you have been chopped.

It is now time for the semifinals, and only two will move on to the final round, while three more players will take that walk of, well... fame.

In past years, there has been a tradition that the host abstains from voting in this and the final round, including any and all tiebreakers. So this year... we're not going to change anything. It's up to all of you.

I'm not sure how happy the other administrators will be when you suspend the entire population of eligible posters.....

"Hey Priceless, how come nobody is posting? What, you suspended everybody?"

My guess though is that FlagDUD will sign up under a ton of short-term identities to stuff the ballot box, he'll open dozens of aol / gmail / Hotmail accounts, just to win the "prize" that only he seems to covet.
