Booked my flight for Denver, to go to see ZBB at Red Rocks. Fly out Thursday morning, fly back Friday, so it will be a short trip. Plan is to meet up with Sloe Gin for the concert.

Now I need to figure out where I'm going to see Church this summer. Leaning towards WE Fest, but that's a weekend long commitment, and I don't know who would go with. I was also considering seeing him at Miller Park, but that is the weekend after ZBB, and that might get to be too much.

edit: nevermind....the Delta website didn't actually book it. There is some kind of glitch. I guess I'll have to call them tomorrow :mad:

I've gone back and forth on WeFest.. Everyone I know goes, barely remembers it, and is hungover for 3 days after. I like to drink and whatnot, but not to that point. Don't know if I can deal with that mess for three or four days.

Never actually been to WEFest. When I had the money, I didn't like country...now that I like country, don't have the money (hadn't even heard of it until I went to UND). I do remember it was hard to get that weekend off of work, and Grand Forks was a ghost town that weekend.

The FOX9 weather geek just spent 10 minutes of airtime showing us all kinds of fancy maps, radars, and graphics. His conclusion as e passed it back to the anchor chick? He has no clue what is going to happen.

According to the Weather Channel, Jim Cantore is not in Minneapolis...so, we're probably not going to die.

We talked about it in my geography class today. Basically a 100 miles is the window, and if we're either getting 2 inches or 12+.

Yeah, MA. But I probably won't go, too expensive with the flight. It would be cheaper to do the whole WE Fest weekend.

Those "Fests" are more than the intended crowd (see the XFest/Edgefest/etc that was in Somerset for years). It's more "who wants to party? Oh, there's music, too." Honestly, half the people just go to drink and hang out. They don't care about the music that much.

Oh I'm sure. I have been to a few fests.

I went to WE Fest back in 87 or 88. Fricken pouring rain a few days before and the day I went there. Twangers, drunks, mud and except for the girls that had wet t shirts it sucked.

Think GWAR will be headlining?

I still love that atmosphere, but I'm rather uh, mature, to be attending those anymore. ;)
