When I was there in 94 and 95, there are whole sections of campgrounds where nobody's listening to country music. They were, however, bonging beers from prosthetic legs. Or they were mannequin legs. I'm not sure. I was pretty drunk. I do, however, remember that it was all rock music being played in that section of the camp. The guys running the stereo said that they're (everyone else there, I have to assume) getting enough country when they go to the shows when they go to the concerts and from every other camp on the way to the show. Their bit of camp was reserved for rocking and bonging.Even if I tolerated all of his songs there is no way I could tolerate hanging out with thousands of twangers at Hee Haw fest.![]()
If you're getting to the point where you can't remember it, you're doing it wrong.I've gone back and forth on WeFest.. Everyone I know goes, barely remembers it, and is hungover for 3 days after. I like to drink and whatnot, but not to that point. Don't know if I can deal with that mess for three or four days.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band played that when I was there in 94. It was really cool. They turn off the stage lights, then some miners hat lamps come on, and they play the entire song like that. And they really knew how to work up the fans, getting them into the show, too. These are all things I can do, but I'm not going fishin in the dark with you.![]()
I totally agree. When there's a bunch of numnuts that do that, I don't think it would be all that awesome. If you think that sucked....you were doing it wrong.Oh I'm sure. I have been to a few fests.
I went to WE Fest back in 87 or 88. Fricken pouring rain a few days before and the day I went there. Twangers, drunks, mud and except for the girls that had wet t shirts it sucked.
Think GWAR will be headlining?
Frozen Four time

Rooting for UML in their game and a targeted building collapse in the SCSU end of the ice during their game.
Who cares what the others are doing, just don't do that yourself.I totally agree. When there's a bunch of numnuts that do that, I don't think it would be all that awesome. Who knows I guess.
Lightning and thunder (just once) here. Yes, it's snowing. Might just take the side roads for my short commute. I have a feeling that the other drivers.........oops, I mean roads, are crap.
