My mother's father lost an eye from shrapnel in fighting in Latvia. Was he the one who did it? :) He was a doctor (Oberarzt) himself. Leswp1 dug up his military history on the internet for me a few months ago.
I couldn't tell you my grandfather's role in WWI. I just know that's where he lost his leg and caused his death in '39, when my dad was a year old. My grandfather couldn't escape a burning car after a crash due to missing a leg and he was the passenger in the backseat of some two-door model.

My cousin is married....holy ******* I'm hammered. Probably shouldn't have had those sliders...it's going to take q Hell of a party at Shirtless Guy's weddin to top this...

Free breakfast buffet was awesome. I had ALL the bacon and eggs. Off to another cousin's Irish dance recital soon.
