Re: Poll: Rep Retirement Lodge #165: Spring Has Sprung!

Back from UML track meet. I had 6 layers on top, flannel jeans, winter mittens and wrapped myself in a blanket that had windbreaker material on the outside. Only my face was visible and that is burned to a crisp

And here's the difference between the easterners and Minnesotans. Probably about the same temp, and I am wearing short sleeves, and almost took the top down on the Jeep this week. :D

I forgot to mention the gale force winds that made the windchill something like 2o degrees and that I was there for >7 hours

What a cool wedding. The groom is early 70's, lost his wife to cancer 5 years ago. Bride hasn't even looked at another man for 33 years, as she married a drunk who wasn't a good guy first time around. She then made her kids the priority, never cared to look for another man. The joy these two had just to be alive and together was pretty awesome.

We know both of them, the bride better than the groom, though. You couldn't wipe the smile off her face if you tried.

Side note: I've never been to a wedding where the couple say in chairs for each other for some of the ceremony:p

freaking wheat shockers!!!! dammit

Sorry about Witchita losing and messing up your mycokerewards.

With a Louisville win and a loss tonight by Syracuse the worst I can finish is 3rd. If Louisville wins it all....... So do I.

So this is the first weekend in a while at I have been able to stay at home. Woke up to a nasty little stomach bug. Figures. I hope the boys don't get it................

My paternal grandfather might have fired bullets at yours.

My mother's father lost an eye from shrapnel in fighting in Latvia. Was he the one who did it? :) He was a doctor (Oberarzt) himself. Leswp1 dug up his military history on the internet for me a few months ago.
