It was great seeing the 2012 team in the Red and White Game today. Tremendous amount of talent in this
freshmen class. Cosmo46, your son looked good out there too! Real quick and strong on the puck.

Coming from behind the puck carrier and getting the stick to the puck without any hooking, holding, etc. That's solid, clean, defensive hockey. That's what I like to see!

Welcome to the Plattsburgh State family, sir! look forward to seeing your son in action this season.

(Now, I'm missing something, and this is actually an image of him losing possession... that's a different story. But it certainly looks to me like him winning the puck, so I'll stick to the praise unless informed otherwise!)

so what is the Red and White game, I gather its a scrimmage but is it underclassmen vs upperclassmen or just a random game? how are the teams chosen?

The Red and White game is composed of all members of the team divided equally into 2 squads. Good chance for us to see the new recruits though and it's pretty well attended by the locals.

Did anyone else notice they have enough skaters at the right position with double uni #s to do an all-doubles unit?

(11) Gorman - (44) Farnan - (33) Amnas

(22) Kaye - (55) Grace

Maybe it's the little bit of Monk in me, but I really hope to see that combo out on the ice.

Thats actually a very good sounding line and not just the number...

I think the forwards might work well (from what you can tell based on one game), but Kaye was paired up with Puglisi last season. The team defense as a whole was so successful why should they break up the one of the two carryover pairings if they can help it? I guess it depends which six defensemen play and which two are up in the press box.

Anyone else notice that Sundberg comes back to Plattsburgh for one weekend and RIT CHOKES??? :) Penn State knocked of RIT today 3-2. On Friday Buffalo State defeated Penn State 3-0.

students of plattsburgh! The acb athletics committee is supplying a spectator bus to next weekend’s away men’s hockey game against the potsdam bears! Tickets are on sale now at the acc information desk for $3. This ticket covers the cost of transportation and tickets to the game itself. Bus departs at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, november 3rd outside the acc and will return roughly around midnight. Come support your plattsburgh cardinals in their hunt for their third straight sunyac title!
