Biggest question for me is..."Can I attend the Women's game in Plattsburgh at 3 and drive to Middlebury in time for the Men's game at 7PM? [With the bridge gone, ferry timing is everything !]

I was going to comment too on the crowds this weekend. Nearly 700 at the final game. Awesome.

Any calculations on how many at the first contest?

The Platty faithful always turn out. Still have the most loyal fan base. Congrats!

How about the 100 Elmira fans that traveled up to the games? Where is their pat on the back?

and since when did you become the judge of who has the most loyal fans?:confused: :rolleyes: ;)

it was single admission for the two games Saturday. attendance was 684

Great stuff...should be interesting to see how many on Saturday...would be nice to "Stuff Stafford" like the good ole days when Middlebury would show up. Think we set the single game attendance record with one of those games.

Regular season I think you are correct.

Elmira still holds the record for the highest attendance at a D-III game with the 2005 championship game against Middlebury IIRC.

you are correct. Regular season record is at stafford against middlebury in 2006 with 1,736. NCAA championship at Elmira against Middlebury has the all-time record at 2,335.

Saturday had to be the most gut-wretching game I have ever watched. The Cardinals haven't made that sort of blatant turnover twice all year. Yet, they did it twice to the senior captain of the opposing team in the last 90 seconds of an NCAA game. Just heartbreaking.

That said, Norwich came in with a game plan - forecheck along the boards - and it seemed the Cards were unwilling (or unable) to deviate from the plan of clearing the puck out of their zone along the sides. It also seemed that the Cadets were much hungrier along the boards. Plattsburgh players would wait for the puck to come around the boards to them and a Cadet would just step in front of them and take it away.

Plattsburgh, while it looked like the best team in the Country for most of the year, was clearly not even close the last two weeks. It's a tough way for the three seniors to end their careers (good luck to them in the future!). Hopefully the returning players will come back with a hunger from the bad taste this game should leave in their mouths.

Any word on recruits...I heard rumours about a couple of beauts!! This could be he start of another good run!! ;)
