Penn st. Job?????

Re: Penn st. Job?????

Possible announcement Monday, but no "noise" this weekend out of Duluth, Madison, or wherever the third candidate is frm?

CHN reports that PSU will announce who their new coach will announced after the ACHA convention this weekend.

Kevin Pates (UMD Hockey's beat writer) said his sources (could be wrong) said that Jeff Blasihill of WMU also interviewed. He joined the group of Guy Gwadosky of Princeton, Sandy and Mark Johnson.

Blashill claimed "virtually no contact and no first hand contact" from Penn State after we gave him a raise today.

So that probably means Penn State 3rd party guy helping in coach search calls his agent, agent calls Blashill, Blashill calls WMU's AD, wait 24 hours, sign new deal?

Wow - going out on a limb for him, eh? An hour and a half after it was posted on the school website and everything. Stop the presses!

IALTO

I couldn't agree more.

Well there you go! Thank you Penn State, now Michigan Tech doesn't have to worry about UMD's opening.
And neither do we!

And we don't have to worry about having our national championship wind taken out of our sails!

How close was Tech to issuing press releases for a coach they thought they had?

Re: Penn st. Job?????

PSU might be better off with an eastern coach but we will see.

Thank you PSU for listening to me.

This was not PSU's first choice. I do know the first choice got offered $250,000 per year and an annuity the total package offered was around 1.6 million dollars over 5 or 6 years. Something like that.

college hockey news said:
Gadowsky beat out a pair of prominent finalists, including minnesota-duluth coach scott sandelin, and current wisconsin women's coach mark johnson — each of whom have just won a national championship.

False.
