I wonder if the Russians will play so soft and, I guess you could say without heart, when the games are in motherland?

Excellent point. There will be a lot of pressure on the team to do well. There's talk of not allowing pros to compete in the next Olympics, and if so, not sure if they will have any advantage in the new age (ie no Soviet Union/Eastern Bloc) of international hockey.

No, the Swiss still make cheese and chocolate and still have have corkscrews on their knives. :p

The Czechs are making one or two more passes than they need to be, like they think they can't beat Kiprusoff.

The Swiss played with more grit and dertermination than Russia with only half their talent. Yes, to answer the question, the Swiss didn't fit the sterotype. The Russians did.

Don't blame NBC for putting the event that draws the best ratings in prime time. Blame American TV audiences for watching figure skating.
