And the skills competition will decide it. Hiller's the better goalie, but I don't know if the Swiss have anyone who can score.

Re: Part IV of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or All Your Hockey Are Belong to US

I watched the third and OT...the Swiss were completely unimpressive.

Re: Part IV of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or All Your Hockey Are Belong to US

I think the Swiss are a lot like the Germans where they look best when they get to turtle.

Re: Part IV of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or All Your Hockey Are Belong to US

And the Swiss win because Kostystyn (sp) can't get a shot off.

Re: Part IV of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or All Your Hockey Are Belong to US

Swiss win...Team USA will win by 4 against that team.

Who is looking past anyone it is a prediction. Last game and this game are different.

Hey, in 2006 they beat Canada and the Czech Republic by doing that (and then somehow only tied Italy).

Ah, perhaps now I won't have to wade through any more comments whining about curling.

Well, we'd mock the failure of the figure skaters, but a) I don't know if they failed or not and b) I'd have to watch.

Oh, ye of little faith. The medal rounds are yet to come. No US to complain about, but plenty of Canucks to root against.

Curling is still awesome, but there shouldn't be so much whining now that the US teams are out. :p

I've had fun watching much of it, but in the end it's still lawn bowling on ice. ;)

On that note, my wife is from Thailand but has been here long enough (13 years) to have gained somewhat of an appreciation for winter activities. This includes sitting down to watch the occasional hockey game even though she's convinced all they do is fight and whack each other with their sticks. Yet despite her slowly growing fondness for cold weather sports, when she saw curling on the tube for the very first time her comment was, "Why the hell is that an Olympic sport?!". :D

Is she a good cook? I'm jealous. I could eat thai food everyday.

Re: Part IV of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or All Your Hockey Are Belong to US

I hate to say it, but yeah she's pretty flippin good. :D

If I knew you liked Thai I would have recommended some great places in the TC when you were here.
You still could, there are probably others of us that like Thai food. :p

No pressure, Sid...just the expectations of a nation...
