Just to point out the "Gophers always get the night game" similarities, if the Canadians win today, the Russia-Canada game is at 7:40ET tomorrow instead of midnight.

I'm flipping back and forth between the NBC broadcast and the hockey, and I have to say, bobsled isn't all that interesting to watch. I'm sure it's awesome to participate in, but all of the runs pretty much look the same, and I'm just not that riveted on who can get down the mountain one tenth of a second faster.

And how would you like to be the guy who ducks behind the driver? His "Olympic experience" is running for a few seconds, then curling up in a ball in the bottom of the sled. Sounds thrilling.

It would be nice if Germany could at least make a game of this, but it isn't looking promising.

I was thinking the same thing, except they played for about 3 more minutes after that one! Must have the same nets!

Minnesota scored through a net against NMU in a playoff game in the old Mariucci. Difference is that it was never counted. Even with half the Gopher team showing the refs where the hole was by puttng their sticks/arms through it.
