Oswego State Lakers 2024-25...young guns a'blazin....Let's Go Lakers...

lets hope oz and potsdam dont tie in the standings cause that means something went really wrong for us. also shoutout to the refs for giving both sides a helping hand during this game real stars of the show tonight whether its the 9 pp's for platty of the free gwg that came right off the refs foot. i seriously dont know how we won that game.

He may not be the backup much longer.

Lenny Perno was the guy for his first year-and-a-half. However, this year, Werber, who's a senior, has started 7 games while Perno has started 12. But Werber's play in the last four games makes him in my mind the current number one.

Werber had a .912 save percentage in a 3-3 tie against St. Michael's. Stopped 32 shots in a shutout against Canton. Came in for mopup duty in their blowout loss to Plattsburgh, letting up a goal on four shots. And then yesterday, let one in (and none in the shootout) on 54 shots.

Not exactly backup performance.
Another data point.

Werber got the start again tonight against Canton in a 2-1 win. He let up one goal on 38 shots. He kept Canton off the scoreboard on four power plays where they produced 15 shots.

Like I said, not a backup anymore.

Good team effort last night except the penalties, not sure if the refs have it out for us in Platty, last yr IIRC was the same thing, we had 11 pens and they had 6 ,gotta be more disciplined....All 3 of their markers were PPGs.....Mcquade and Cohen are on nice scoring runs and Burke is putting up to numbers as well, Milberg was there when needed...Overall not a bad Nourth Country trip, onto Buffalo for the western trip...Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!...DIII where you at???

A nail biter that shouldve never been. We have got to work on our PK/ playing down a man in general cause 5v5 were better than pretty much everyone in the yac. At least we got the win and some major help from around the conference tonight we have a shot at #1 now. If we beat buff state tomorrow were 99% locked in for a top 2 seed. What a mess from spots 3-6 this year who knows how this is gonna turn out.

Stopped Cortland last night. Hot goalie.

Tougher test tonight. Our D looked sus last night.

Do the Lakers even know what to do on the PPK?? I don't think they have stopped a PP since Cortland. It's a huge concern and the coaches better fix really quick like. This should not be happening this late into the season. Lots of help from others last night in the standings. Would not want to be facing Canton now. As Russell mentioned they have a goalie.

Early smiles turned into nervous fidgeting last night. PK was a nightmare and PP a disappointment. Lucky to get outta Dodge with the W. Tonight won't be any easier. Thank you Potsdam.

Potsdam is the one who has a hot goalie. Not Canton.

Damn missed the whole weekend, working on LBI house,WTf we gave up 8 goals on 48sog's???? Looks like a few upsets this weekend as well, better get our act together or we will have long spring semester....Let's Go Lakers!!!!!

Pivotal weekend coming up. A win vs cortland could mean a 1st place finish, but a loss could sink us to the 1st round since theres no way we have the tiebreaker vs buff state. And saturday well be celebrating our thre....i mean one senior did not notice the other 2 left for the sphl oops (they were kinda hired mercenaries anyway, and i dont think they planned on the freshman being this good) Good news however, Platty is 7th and currently out of the sunyac playoffs which probably some of the best news we could have all year

tonights game vs Cortland postponed to Sunday 4pm
Both the men and women's games in Oswego. They must be getting lake effect, because in Rochester, we're not getting any effects of the storm till Saturday afternoon. Then, it gets pretty bad into Sunday. But right now, nothing is falling and shouldn't all night.

Todays game postponed again til tomorrow night 7pm......Nice win last night, spread the scoring around nicely.....Big game tomorrow night, let's hope the students show up for Monday Night Hockey in Oz....Let's Go Lakers!!!!!

Who would've thought we would had more postponements vs Cortland than actual games vs Cortland even in a season where we play them 3 times
