Yeah but Morrisville is essentially a club team will how bad they are that's a free win where they can rest their guys whereas Canton is somewhat of a competent d3 hockey team.

Every team in SUNY other than yourselves and Canton have already made that trip this year. Not that big a deal...
 
Happy to get a 1st round bye. Anyone know the tiebreakers after head to head and if were still even in contention for the one seed?. At least the ladies locked up their #1 seed huge congrats go out to them. (edit turns out were the 2 seed no matter what hopefully we get a chance to rest some guys and put in the backups)

Just a huge disappointing game. The only thing was a positive was that we didn't give up a PP goal. McCarthy should not see any ice time ever. Just terrible. Triple Z should have started or give him at least some ice time. Second time this year where the opposing team scored on their first shot of the game. Also shut out at home for the second time this year. Cortland and Buff. St sweep us this year. Another low for the program, or is it big coodoos for them. Not the way want to be playing going into the SUNYACS.

We lost 2-1?? and it was an entirely meaningless game as we were locked into the 2 seed anyway so might as well give milberg some rest??? and we went 1-2 vs cortland this year???? I do agree getting swept by buff state is unacceptable. Considering this is almost the exact same record we had last year with a team that had 13 seniors the SUNYAC Player and Defenseman of the year Id say the freshman punched well above their weight class. Our awful PP the last few years that hovered around 20% jumped all the way up to 33% this year. Im extremely happy with the way this year turned out although these past few weeks have shown Milberg is a tandem goalie he has not been the best these past few weeks. He has played 22/25 games. Next year i think ed will trust his either mccarthy or z more vs the average teams. They did pretty well against teams like Elmira and Canton and the 3 teams mccarthy struggled with are right on the bubble for the national tournament. IDK how many teams would do well with freshman backups against those teams.
 
We shut down the PP last night finally. That needs to continue if we are to advance. A lot of our shots off target-missed chances. Cortland nothing special; couple of big boys and a decent goalie. We will see them again I hope.
 
Lord Z last night's game was a big one for the Lakers. By winning they would have showed Cortland that are on par with them. Now Cortland has the mental edge by taking the conference series. The game out side of conference was a find raiser and on neutral ice. Well let's see what happens this Saturday.

I sure hope the players don't feel that way especially with that awful no goal call. We had tied one hand behind our back and Cortland still needed outside help to barely beat us. They clearly cared more than us. Heck whoever assigned the refs clearly didn't care when they assigned Joe baudo to ref it after last years catastrophe. If our players lose their mental edge because of some meaningless regular season game shame on them that's not good enough and I hope they lose Saturday to whoever.
 
Missed the whole weekend, ,daughter volleyball, except for the last 5 mins of the Cort game, well I would say not a good feeling going into the game this sat night with a L vs Cort ,not sure who I want to play sat night as da bears gave us a hard time in Maxy Hall,and the birds would be out for revenge??? As for the goalies we need one of them to steal a game for us have NOT seen that all season,usless I have missed it, which is entirely possible??? Good week of practice and Let's Go Lakers.....p.s from the few minutes I saw the crowd was underwhelming to say the least??????????.....never expect anything good from these refs, the best that they can do is not get noticed...

Congrats to Daniel Colabufo and Travis Baker on their 1st Team All SUNYAC. Congrats to Nico Paone and Brandon Cohen for the all rookie team. Last and most certainly not least congrats to Ryan Burke for both and most likely the rookie of the year award when they announce it. Heck he's probably 2nd place for player of the year as well. He's certainly one of the most impactful freshman we've had in a while I would imagine
