Oswego State Lakers 2024-25...young guns a'blazin....Let's Go Lakers...

lets hope oz and potsdam dont tie in the standings cause that means something went really wrong for us. also shoutout to the refs for giving both sides a helping hand during this game real stars of the show tonight whether its the 9 pp's for platty of the free gwg that came right off the refs foot. i seriously dont know how we won that game.

He may not be the backup much longer.

Lenny Perno was the guy for his first year-and-a-half. However, this year, Werber, who's a senior, has started 7 games while Perno has started 12. But Werber's play in the last four games makes him in my mind the current number one.

Werber had a .912 save percentage in a 3-3 tie against St. Michael's. Stopped 32 shots in a shutout against Canton. Came in for mopup duty in their blowout loss to Plattsburgh, letting up a goal on four shots. And then yesterday, let one in (and none in the shootout) on 54 shots.

Not exactly backup performance.
Another data point.

Werber got the start again tonight against Canton in a 2-1 win. He let up one goal on 38 shots. He kept Canton off the scoreboard on four power plays where they produced 15 shots.

Like I said, not a backup anymore.

Good team effort last night except the penalties, not sure if the refs have it out for us in Platty, last yr IIRC was the same thing, we had 11 pens and they had 6 ,gotta be more disciplined....All 3 of their markers were PPGs.....Mcquade and Cohen are on nice scoring runs and Burke is putting up to numbers as well, Milberg was there when needed...Overall not a bad Nourth Country trip, onto Buffalo for the western trip...Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!...DIII where you at???
