Oswego State Lakers 2024-25...young guns a'blazin....Let's Go Lakers...

embarrasing? yes painful? not even remotely this team always seems to find spectacular ways to win and lose games these past 5 years
 
you guys remeber the 2023 sunyac championship game when the website got hacked and we all had to use paper tickets. just got a card in the mail saying the lawsuit was settled and ur elgible until 1/29 to file a claim. thats crazy

considering my student ticket was free anything is a profit, its not like we got to celebrate the outcome of the game. plus im sure my info is out on some deepweb chinese site anyway
 
happy New Year to all, ......any roster changes during break???.....Let's hope we get off to a good start this new year, not a bad first half with soooo many new players, time to gel boys....Lets Go Lakers!!!!
 
A nice win to start the second half of the year. I have not seen an Oswego team with a Hattie, Shorthanded goal, PPG, score on a break away, and a shutout all in one game. No additions or subtractions which I think is great keeps the chemistry good. See how they do tomorrow.

Fun fact nolan barrett made his return to the deb tonight playing for alvernia. He got thrown out in the 3rd period for saying something the ref didnt like. he might have taken the most penalties in all of d3 hockey rn 17 penalties and 53 total min in 11 games which is not good

Hope you had a good holiday DIII,that game reminded me of the run and gun days of the Whitelaw teams.....Good start to 2025,let's see what they have today....4pm tilt...Let's Go Lakers!!!!
 
#5: Holidays were good but couldn't wait for them to be over. Very stressful. No Travel for me today really don't want to get stuck in one of famous Lake Ontario lake effect white out's. I didn't think Barrett had any eligibility left, but what ever.

good to finally win our own tournament even with the crappy field onto another brutal stretch 3 games in 5 days and 4 games in 9 days all away. Were somehow 15th in the NPI so an at large bid is unlikely but still possible

well he's nuttin but a hacker anyway I guess that why hes been thru 3 teams....I still think I may have 1 semester left of eligibility,I had better start traning at 60 yo may take me a few yrs or more:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:...Let's see what we can do vs The U .....Lets Go Lakers!!!!
 
I wonder how theyre gonna handle the goalie situation these next 2 weeks? On one hand ur somehow only 7 spots away from at large bid, on the other hand this is really the best and last time to give the backups a look especially vs Naz or the NC canton game and give milberg a rest. I am on the zz train still as mccarthy doesn't seem to give the team a chance to win that elmira shutout seems to be a classic early season anomoly. Then again I wouldnt be surprised if Utica runs us out of the building, milberg gets pulled and someone gets some action then.

Well not much luck at the U,we looked pretty good and a bounce here or there and we get the W...Mcquade is a stud and Cohen can shoot for sure...special teams was good..we got caught a few times ,D has to keep their heads on a swivel and make sure nobody gets behind them,Millberg played good, not withstanding the bad pass...Naz knocked off Cort last night so we will be in for a battle as well....Lets Go Lakers!!!!
 
The Tim Horton Icepex where Nazareth plays is in the running for coldest rink of the year (sorry Hobart). We couldn't wait to get outside and warm up.

Naz beat Cortland the night before, so we had to be on our toes. Shots started out heavy on our side, but Naz evened that stat out by the end of the game. Close game but the empty netter sealed it. McQuaid had a stud weekend. Team continues to find its legs and figure each other out.

We're like 15 in the PRI with only Cortland(13th) left on the schedule to improve that, so not much chance of moving up (but opportunities to drop). Confirming that the SUNYAC tourny will be our only chance at the NCAAs.
 
We have 11 games remaining , if we run the table we are at 18 wins. The consistent factor is 20 wins to get a sniff at the NCAA. So yes you are right we need the Yack tourney

yup win and your in, the AQ will ,as always never be ez but I like the way we have been playing and I think it is within reach....Lets get the home ice advantage to give us a little boost...Let's Go Lakers!!!!!
