Sort of agree with the Lord Z in that McCarthy cost us a goal with his terrible puck play for Adrian
s first goal. I don't have a problem starting a freshmen but he didn't look dominate in his shut out. As I mentioned in the Elmira game he looked lost on shots at times. Their second goal was a result of the trailer not covering his man. The first period we were the better team for 18 minutes. That is why you have to play all 20 of them. Couple of bright spots I thought. Our board work was great, the team effort was great, the d played well. Adrian's goalie looked like he has been in tough games and it showed. We just couldn't score on our chances which I think we had more of and Adrian did on theirs. The Lakers just need to get off the scorning snide. For them not to be scoring with the play they are showing does not reflect what is how well they are playing for a team with so many new faces. The teams that we have played so far might be lucky to have played Oswego when they did, for they have not jelled yet, and they have been every game so far. That will be fun to watch when they do. # 5 are you going to be in town next weekend?

Caught the last period of the game and we looked damn good as stated before lighting the lamp may be a problem this yr but time will tell.....DIII my daughters volleyball team is on fire, won the section championship yesterday and will be in Binghamton next Sat for the Regional Finals vs Union Endicott,already gave away my 5 tiks for the Platty game, hopefully see ya at another home tilt this year...Go Lakers!!!...and Minisink Warriors!!!!:p:p:p..........p.s. I think as this was a non-conf game coach was feeling out the new net minder,he knows what he has in Milberg,so lets give him the benefit of the doubt this early inn the season..
 
Pleasantly surprised at how good we look so far this year, record be damned. We played #1 Hobart and #2 Adrian pretty evenly. Hobart was a one-goal game for most of it, and without a few stupid mistakes we had Adrian even. We led in SOG the whole Adrian game. Considering we have 15 new guys gelling, this "trial by fire" to open the season just might lead to something. On to the (what's left of) SUNYAC.

Agree..........and I think it's 19 new faces, but who's counting...Lets Go Lakers!!!!
 
I figured that this game would give us a pretty good picture of where we really stand at this point after our, uh "challenging" front-heavy schedule. 5-1 over #12 Plattsburgh. Probably the most dominant game I've seen the Lakers play over the Cards. We pretty much outplayed them in all aspects of the game. Not the best I've seen Plattsburgh play, but we'll take it. Go Lakers!
 
U know it's a great win when the platty goalie throws a fit and breaks his stick and throws his glove on the 5th goal. Enough said really onto to sunyac we go.
 
A good game last night. The crowd was great. Not saying much about the game. I think the Adrian game was the game where these Lakers came together and realized that they are really good. I've been to all the home games this year and every game they are showing a progress, great energy, and hustle. The goals with come. #5 I hope your daughter and team did good in their volleyball.

Liked like a swarm of bees in green and gold from my computer seat, great hustle and forechecking, only one oddman rush that I saw and the net minding was very good for the Lakers.Forwards were going to the net strong and got rewarded,Lakers won most puck battles and the 5-1 scored reflected that.Great team win that will get us going into the YAC schedule....DIII we play at Candor HS tonight a 5pm vs. Union Endicott Tigers,Regional Finals,win and we go to the Final Four in Glens Falls next weekend........OK now lets get a few votes in the polls:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:...Lets Go Lakers!!!!
 
Great game to watch, and with every recent victory in this rivalry, the sting and pain of years past gets vindicated. The young posters only have heard the stories of the greatest games between these two teams, always close, always to the wire, with Oswego always coming up short. Platty owned us for years (decades?) Respect for Plattsburgh past and present, glad last night was ours. One down in my yearly trifecta, beat Platty, win SUNYAC RS and Tourney, earn a NCAA bid..... Can the young guns pull it off, plenty of hockey to be played.
 
Missed Da Bears game ,but from the scoresheet we played pretty damn good.......Ok now how about the Polls.....Let's Go Lakers!!!....ps DIII we won and will be going to the NY State Final Four Volleyball finals at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls NY next Thurs-Sat...Let's Go Warriors!!!!
 
not on the schedule but we play Stevenson on the 29th of Nov at the Utica Tourney,they play University of New England,,,winners clash the next day...
 
cant possibly do worse than last year. did we ever get the 4th team confirmed for our tournament russ. someone said the 3rd one but i cant remember who it was (edit its lebanon valley for the 3rd)
 
We just got tickets for Saturday of the Utica tourney. I figured either Utica or UNE should be a good game. It's going to be in the big Aud, not the Nexus center. Empire Tickets $10, StubHub $26!
 
#5 Congrats on your daughters' volleyball win. Bring home the gold. Yes the early poles mean nothing, but I have to say it was weird looking at the pole and there was no SUNYAC school in the top 15. I can't recall when that has happened. Hopefully that will change next Monday.

I don’t know who you’re missing, but the other two are Arcadia and Alvernia.
 
so arcadia already has 25 games on their schedule and it doesnt include the oz hockey tournament. lv still has the tournament on theirs as does alvernia so it appears it will be oz, lv, alvernia and neuman which is an awful tournament 3 mac schools

Yeah, I was sleeping on the job. Neumann is in it now.

It was an awful tournament when the original teams were announced. I made that comment when the schedule came out -- how this tournament followed a certain philosophy and was able to also get good teams. But for various reasons, they haven't been able to do so lately, in both their philosophy and team selections.

That was always a trip due to date, lack of atmosphere, and winter, which I hesitated to make. But, with a solid field, I was usually self persuaded to go at least one day. I don't see going up there this year.
 
About 1/3 of the time the games fall on NYE or New Year's Day, which isn't ideal for us. The students are gone so the crowd is small. But the hockey is usually good.

Exactly. I understand the lack of atmosphere, and I'm fine with it when the tournament field is solid and thus the games are good. Not this time...
 
Welp. Welcome back buff state it's been 8 years but ur finally good again. At least the women's team is the best in the SUNYAC this year so far???
