Mike - your voice and Jared's pics panned out as good as ever.
nice job as always boys.....Well it looks like the season will begin with a tough one, as the U-18 split a set with AIC,both games going to O.T...this is good, not like that rattlers blowout a few yrs ago....As for the season, do or die?? Well lets just hope to get off to a good start and a better finish:D..Good luck LAKERS and lets hope to stay healthy..

Re: Oswego State Hockey 2011-2012 Part II: Hockey Never Sleeps

AIC split with Penn State this weekend. The U-18's were in Grand Forks and Bemidji.

Re: Oswego State Hockey 2011-2012 Part II: Hockey Never Sleeps

U-18 plays against Cornell the night before they play Oswego, so they will probably be a bit tired from that, I think Oswego will do well.

Re: Oswego State Hockey 2011-2012 Part II: Hockey Never Sleeps

I heard rumors last year that the games would be streamed in HD this season, do we have any word if that's set up or not?

In case you missed it, here is this morning's captains interview (sorry about the skipping):

Re: Oswego State Hockey 2011-2012 Part II: Hockey Never Sleeps

Denton King and Justin Gilbert are the new adds and it appears that Dan Ford is back as a volunteer assistant coach. I saw him and Eddie at the War Memorial a week or so ago. Good to see him back in the fold along with Digby of course.

Oswego posted their roster this morning on their website. Just 24 players, lightest I've seen the squad numbers wise in years.

Of those 24, 14 are seniors!

Re: Oswego State Hockey 2011-2012 Part II: Hockey Never Sleeps

I'm sure we'll have some mid-season transfers

Probably not too far from the realm of possibility but if the international aid being cut really is the difference on why this year's recruiting class is so small, it won't be changing by December most likely.....

...the timing of the elimination of the aid package may have had an impact on the class of '16...but IMHO as long as you have great academics, the best rink in D3, the best media coverage in D3 supporting a program that is consistently among the elite of D3, it should not matter in the long run.....

We're planning on pinching a few from Plattsburgh's squad. bakdraft, I'm inclined to agree with you on this year being do-or-die - 3 years in a row now for the FF, and closer than ever last year...balls to the wall time, gents. We've got a wild ride ahead.

I am watching hd quality widescreen news on WTOP10 the last couple days - if they are using that platform for hockey, it will be spectacular.....
