I'm very interested to see how this goaltending situation plays out, the article said that the new goalie coming in is rather talented and aggressive. Also, does anyone else think that the new freshmen will mesh as well this go around as the ones last year did? I have a lot of promise for this team. I think that they did a good job of filling the voids left by Muss and Selleck. (whom I wish all the best to) I'd love to see a national championship in my senior year :D

If I recall Beckwith came in highly touted also as he had backstopped 2 CJHL championship teams and was named to the Fred Page All-Star team twice and had appeared in the RBC once. I think there will be a good competition in camp but I think Beckwith will be the starter for one big reason, he is the upper classman and Gosek tends to lean toward the upper classman when picking a goalie unless he proves he cannot do the job.

hopefully the best goalie will get the nod........lets remember it is a long season, and some goalies tend to get the cramps now and then so ya never know, but it is good to have competition............GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!

Are you insinuating that goalies are somewhat of a different breed, and they may, from time to time be prone to questionable behavior. If so, I would have to agree with you.:D

I don't think cramping will be an issue this season.

well they are a different animal for sure but all will play out for the best im sure.............ps add broadwells to your name ;-))...for the trifecta

At least Boston finally realized that man was 10 times the goaltender Tim Thomas would ever be.

It didn't take that long, only a half a season. Tim Thomas was the Vezina and Jennings winner in 2008/2009. Should the Bruins have replaced him then?

If Rask is 10X better than Tim Thomas (a former Vezina and Jennings winner) would ever be, then Rask is the best goalie EVER. I would expect every game next year to be a shut-out.

Lay off Timmy, he served the B's well.

Thomas got lucky as a one-year wonder.

He's a flopper that never should have posted the numbers he did.

Brady Anderson anyone? Jose Bautista?;)

(not saying Thomas was on roids)

Prez you have to realize as you move into the shadow of UVM, that you will encounter a lot of Tim Thomas fans around here. Just so you know.;)
