Oswego State 2009-2010 Playoff Disappointment Thread

Re: Oswego State 2009-2010 Playoff Disappointment Thread

Anyone have an idea on how flexible exactly the arena ushers are in "subtle" seating changes? My party's in Sec 7 and its starting to look like a no-man's land of different fans (as advertised in the attendance feed). And as I understand it, the major Laker contingent is over in Sec 16 - if one were to migrate that way, think the attendants shall have beef?

Yeah I am in section 21 for both days. I think I am behind the Plattsburgh bench for the 2nd game which should be interesting.

Maybe I will wear my "PUCK FLATTSBURGH" shirt

Last time I was there you could sit where ever you liked as long as someone did not have the seat

Disappointed on the todays result, sure, who wouldn't be?

The season as a whole was a fine body of work, won the SUNYAC, killed the Red Menace monkey, provided a season of exciting hockey and ended with a 26-3 record. Who's not proud of that?

Congrats SNC on the fine effort today.

No tears here. It was a fine season. We ran into a team that was every bit our equal and came up short. Revel in it if you must, but these Lakers have no reason to hang their heads, nor do us fans.

...and yet, whether it be 5 or 25 hours, Plattsburgh's season last longer than Oswego's.;)

Sure, whatever....

SNC took it to the Lakers today - they made their own luck and pressed with zeal and determination.... Lakers were late to their own party - I guess they forgot to move their clocks ahead as they didn't show up until after 5pm...

SNC deserved to win and advance...good luck to them...

Looking forward to tonight's game...

The only thing Plattsburg has lacked this year - consistency in goal! I'm sure Emery has recruited the answer to this

Wrong.

They have zero finishers on this team. No one on this team can get that big goal when needed to. Have the goalies made mistakes? Of course, they are freshman, but they have played well enough to get PSU to the FF. You wont beat Norwich by only scoring 1 goal. It could be 3-1 or 12-1. Same result.

They have 10 less goals than last years team

And they only gave up 6 more goals and played 1 more game. What's your point?

Coincidentally, that 6 goal differential can be attributed to the 3 Oswego games. Last season Oswego scored 8 goals in 3 games against Plattsburgh. This season they scored 14 in 3 games. And I don't think it needs to be said that Oswego was much more lethal this year than last.

So, yes, to say the goaltending was inconsistent would be completely false. Did they let in some they shouldn't have along the way? Of course, but find me a goal who didn't make a mistake this year.

Well at least the Oswego Lakers can say this... shut out Plattsburgh, and (whiny, excuse laden) Plattsburgh can't go all bravado "yeah well we're national champions."

Was at the Dancing Bear in Placid at the bar near Valdez oil spill head Emory and he was still up to his usual making excuses and pointing fingers and laying blame like he always does on the players or this or that call. Nice to see he's as classless in person as he is in the rink blaming everyone but himself.

Very different than the scene at Wise Guys a couple hours earlier where Gosek, instead blaming his players for the loss or coming up with excuses was humble, saying it was a team game and he was very proud of his players for the team getting this far and happy.

At least Salem State can say this: shut out St. Norbert. :)
