Off to the first hurdle of the weekend, hope they aren't looking ahead!!! I'm sure coach Gosek has them ready for tonight.. GO LAKERS!!!!!

Trying to listen WNYO but I'm not sure which broadcast to listen to. Is there someone that knows how to fix the problem?

Game looks and sounds great....you get a better result on a wired vs wireless connection....although i am getting a nice experience on my iPhone...

uhoh another injury????? Jon Whitelaw came off the ice late in the game and went straight to the locker room. Hope he is ok. Heard tonight that Fox was going to play tomorrow:) Moodie looked good 1st game since being hurt in the Adrian game, had a goal. Again I hope that Whitelaw is OK!!!

On WTOP's post-game show, Coach Gosek said Whitelaw will "probably not" play tomorrow. It's something like the team's fourth or fifth shoulder injury this year. However, I've heard from one of the trainers that Fox will play tomorrow. He was actually really bummed about not playing tonight, he thought he could have gone.

I'm thinking that it shouldn't be too serious - Moody was a real asset lost quite some time back, and with him and the Star Fox returning, the team seems to compensate for injuries quite well. Its sounded like Platty has endured their fair share of injuries too - between the two of them...still playing real well.

All the same, hope Whitelaw returns soon.

Getting psyched up - next arrival at the Oswego station: Cardinals.:cool:

In order to continue preparations for the broadcast tonight... John and I walked through the campus center on our way to the WTOP studio and there were people line up. This was at 2:00. We asked the first people in line what time they got there - they said 11:00. FANTASTIC! Course, if they were any kind of ambitious they would use the tunnels etc to get into the rink to watch the club hockey game currently going on and then try to stay... not that I'm advocating that, or that it would work, it would just be entertaining to see.

Congrats Lakers in sweeping the season series against the Cards. I really wish I could have been there. I can't remember Oswego sweeping the Cards. Lets hope the mental toughness holds up in the SUNYACS. I think it would be a first for the Lakers if they won all three one season, but not something new for PSUC.

This might make you feel a little more uneasy ;)

Plattsburgh has loss to Oswego twice in the regular season SUNYAC (sweep) games a total of 4 times:
79-80
@ OSU 5-9

97-98

HOWEVER, all three years when their were SUNYAC playoffs the Lakers and Cardinals faced one another. All three times it was IN Oswego. And all three times Plattsburgh has won. Just goes to show you how hard it is to sweep a team in the regular season and then beat them in the playoffs (at least when it comes to Plattsburgh and Oswego)

The last minute when the puck was in our zone, and the fans could really sense a victory was amazing. The atmosphere was worth standing in line with a hangover for over 3 hours. It felt like no one wanted to leave after the final buzzer. It was incredibly fun, hope we get to do it again in March.

No it doesn't make me feel uneasy. What would make me feel uneasy again is if the Lakers lost 7 times to the Cards for a second year like they did in 87. I am used to loosing 3 games to PSUC. Reguardless both teams will make the NCAA's. It will be nice to have 2 SUNY teams in again.
