You precieve that they will drive the same just because of the nose? I thought one of the main drivers of this re-do is the fact that the current cars were designed to do ovals, and not road courses. There's more to that than just aero.
Also, how can you tell how the car handles by watching it? Indycar isn't the leading edge of technolgy- heck, even F1 is barely. So what's wrong with what happened in the 80's that you don't want to watch cars like that? Seemed like good racing to me.
The problem I have is why update the car if it is going to look and handle the same? I don't think Indycar has to totally go to a F1 nose, but dang that thing looks the same as a 1985 indycar nose. If I wanted to watch vintage racing I would do just that.
